Of note, Jean's personal doubles the growth rate of his CLASS, not all of his growth rates, so his personal will make his stats lean into the strength of what ever class he is in.
If you run him martial monk -> Sage/Mage Knight, he will have one of the highest magic stats in the game. If you reclass him right away into axe fighter->berserker, he will end up with one of the highest strengths in the game.
If you work him up, he can be a very powerful unit, but practically, he is not stronger then the other strong choices, just on par with the best of them. But he takes way more investment to get going.
