For example, many claim that magic is the Devil’s tool. Very well, it might be – we invoke daemonic names to help us perform some rites. We use it to tarnish the very soul of those we want to afflict with our powers. But isn’t it also a divine gift? In my travels, I’ve seen much good done with magic. I’ve witnessed people being brought back to life with a few words. And blood, of course. It always comes down to blood – the price one has to pay. Yet even here there are deviations. After all, adept practitioners are sometimes able to bypass the need for blood sacrifice and still cast magic. Such a feat can be achieved thusly…
