Jutta's Contract

This contract was agreed upon by Knyaz Brencis, the sole and rightful ruler of Vale Sangora, and Jutta of clan Gedr, an uriash, in Anno Domini 1349, in the presence of witnesses signed below, and stipulates what follows:

Jutta of clan Gedr is to track down and fell Coen of Laslea, son of Pieter, the most despicable ruffian and enemy of the good people of Vale Sangora. He had murdered more than a dozen guards and wrecked a merchant’s caravan, destroying the livelihood of a decent man and depriving the citizens of Svartrau of vital resources.

Jutta shan’t rest, or undertake other obligations, until this is accomplished.

Upon presenting proof of the deed, namely the villain’s severed head, Knyaz Brencis solemnly vows to reward her thusly:

– Clan Gedr will be exempt from any and all feudal obligations

– Gold bullion, in weight equal to that of Jutta’s (not counting equipment, armaments, et cetera)

May God the Almighty, watching from the red skies beyond, strike either party dead shall it break any of the above commitments.
