Saviour’s Walk, part 2

Radu Dobrescu marched on, stopping only to catch a few hours of sleep. His boots were filled with blood, the pain in his legs had turned into a fire. But he didn’t falter. He kept on walking, concentrating on the task at hand. Even when his right knee finally gave up, he found a sturdy wooden branch to lean on and continued his murderous march.

Dobrescu arrived at Sangora within 6 days after leaving Buda. He was emaciated, breathing heavily, able only to shuffle his feet like some undead creature from the peasant stories. But even then he did not stop. Radu found his and Dragosti’s co-conspirators, organised them and told them about his plan for springing their sire. After all, he had quite a lot of time to ponder upon it during what is now known as the ‘Saviour’s Walk’.
