Wait for them to fly towards you, then shield bash them.
Guay are black, crow-like birds native to Faron Woods. When they spot you, they’ll circle around for a while, then slowly approach you. Afterwards, they’ll either perform a dive attack or drop some poo on you. Yuck.

How to Defeat¶
If a Guay hasn’t spotted you, you can try shooting them with the Slingshot. But if they’re already flying, it can be hard to aim the Slingshot properly.
Otherwise, you’ll have patiently wait for a Guay to fly towards you. Then right before they attack, slash with your sword or perform a shield bash to stun them. Be careful; if the Guay decides to drop poo, there’s a good chance your attack won’t reach them.
