There are plenty of cool ways to play Evil Dead The Game, whether you have friends to play with, hate multiplayer action, or just want to play some missions solo-style.

What are the Different Games Modes in Evil Dead: The Game?¶

Some of the modes are also useful for learning the game’s mechanics. Sure there is a tutorial included, but that is the most basic of hand-holding and may well leave you feeling a tad underprepared.

You are faced with a pretty Mission Select screen at the beginning of the game.

Here are your choices:

Play as Survivor¶

If you have played the likes of Left 4 Dead and* Back 4 Blood*, well yes, it’s kind of a licensed version of that kind of thing. Team up with a band of players and take on the Demons who will be equally intent on taking you out.

Play as the Kandarian Demon¶

Take on a team of four survivors in the ultimate battle of good vs evil.

Play as Survivor vs AI Demon¶

Team up with other real Survivors to take on anm AI Demon - a good mode to get your practice in and build some stats before heading in to the real deal.

Play Solo¶

Had enough of idiots screaming through your headset? - and we aren’t talking about the Demons in the game, then maybe Solo mode is for you. Join a team of AI Survivors against an AI Demon - depending on who you have played with previously will determine whether you think the intelligence of your teammates is worse or not!

Private Match¶

Play with people you love and trust (or have possibly just met online). Needs a minimum of two players obviously enough.

Missions¶

Here you can play solo as Ash and friends in some short side missions. These probably won’t keep you going for a long time but they are a great way to learn the mechanics of the game and see some of its weapons before jumping in. You can also unlock characters here as well as The Knowby Tapes that will reveal more about the Evil Dead universe.
