Torvin and his beasts can wait. So can Marwen and Lithariel, for that matter. It’s time to explore Nurn! The first thing worth noting is that Survival Challenge 7 is now active, and it asks us to harvest two herbs; Gwinuial (white arrow) and Alfirin (yellow cross). New area, new herbs. Fortunately for us, Alfirin just happens to be in the Harad Basin. Gwinuial , however, is not, but you can find it in Ethir Poros (to the west) Cab-Gwanath Bluff (north), the Cape of Nurn (north-west), Tirith Mesas (further west) and Celon Poros (further north-west).

New Ithildin (left) and artifacts (right) await you in Nurn

Before returning to the Forge Tower (which should have been claimed earlier) head back east into the cave, as there’s an Ithildin and an Artifact that can be claimed, the former, “Lach Mab Gelebren” , is on an elevated ruined wall to the north, and the latter, a Blood-Stained Buckler ,is in an alcove to the south. No Ghuls remain to pester you, but some Uruks may have taken up residence in the caves. Once those have been obtained, fast travel (or walk, if you must) back to the Forge Tower. We’ll need to help out Torvin before we can continue our Hunting Challenges, however.

Men in Nurn are as oppressed by the Uruks as the ones in Udun (left). Pick up the Frolum’s Ring artifact to finish up the Harad Basin (right).

More Ithildin and Artifacts lie in this area, waiting to be recovered, but we should also keep an eye out for Tribals to free, as they’ll unlock more Slave Liberation missions for us to complete. On top of that, seek out opportunities to gain Intel on the Uruks in Nurn, as it’ll make chance encounters with Captains easier. As was mentioned earlier, progress can also be made on Survival Challenges. Just a few things to keep an eye out for as you explore. As usual, the Slave Rescue missions and Legendary Weapon missions will be covered in detail elsewhere in the guide.

Anywho, back to collecting things for Mirian. North-west of the Forge Tower you’ll find the “Nau dan I ngaurhoth” Ithildin on some ruins, just above an arch. Return to the Forge Tower and head south to find a bridge. Drop down to a ledge beside the bridge to find the Ritual Cup Artifact under the bridge supports. On another bridge support to the south you can find the “Achortho Vorn” Ithildin, so climb up there and get it. Climb up onto the bridge, then cross it to the south to reach some ruins occupied by Uruks. Clear the ruins, then find a crumbling stone tower along the southern end of the ruins Climb it to find Frolum’s Ring on the top-most surviving floor. Well… mostly surviving.
