Learning a spell is all well and good - in fact it’s more than half the battle - but in addition to a Shrine of the Mystic that’ll teach you each spell, there’s also a Mausoleum of the Mystic that upgrades them, too! These upgrades are far, far less essential than the spells themselves, but you’ll get the Wisdom Mastered trophy/achievement for upgrading every fairy power in the game, so this page will provide the locations of every Mausoleum of the Mystic in The Adventures of Elliot!

Mausoleums of the Mystic¶
Like Shrines of the Mystic, Mausoleums of the Mystic are marked by a butterfly icon, albeit this time with several chevrons to let you know it’s an upgrade facility. The trials in these mausoleums tend to be more advanced than the ones in the shrines, so you’re doing more work for less gameplay benefit.

Ignite Upgrade¶
Learn the Ignite spell and make your way west of the Rainbow Lotus dungeon in the Age of Reconstruction to find the Mausoleum of the Mystic - Ignite. This mausoleum is sealed, but have Faie use Ignite to light the nearby brazier and it’ll open right up. Triumph over the challenges inside to upgrade your Ignite spell, causing Faie to create an AoE burst when ending the Ignite spell’s effect.

Sprint Upgrade¶
You won’t find this mausoleum until you reach the Age of Budding, making it quite a delay between obtaining the spell and its upgrade. The Mausoleum of the Mystic - Sprint can be found along the northeastern edge of the Westerea region, on a ledge southeast of the Northern Westerea adventurer’s guidepost. Head down to the beach and hit a pressure plate to lower a gate on a ledge above you and start a timer.
Use your Sprint ability to zig-zag west, up a ramp to the east, then west, east and finally south. You need to be quick (although not flawless), so you may want to clear out any enemies and bushes that may otherwise impede your progress as you sprint. You should have enough time to stop and change directions if you don’t feel like you can make some of these turns. Get through the gate quickly enough to reach the mausoleum, then head inside and complete the trial to upgrade your Sprint spell, causing you to send enemies flying if you contact them while sprinting.

Warp Upgrade¶
After you learn the Warp spell, you can head to the northwestern edge of the Whiterea region (the snowy place) in the Age of Reconstruction. Climb a ladder to reach high ground and use Warp to cross a large gap, then again to cross a barrier to reach the Mausoleum. Complete the challenges within to improve the Warp spell, which now causes Elliot to turn invisible shortly after warping.
Vacuum Upgrade¶
One of the last spells in the game has its upgrade mausoleum located near the start of the game - the Mausoleum of the Mystic - Vacuum can be found in the lake in the middle of the Age of Safekeeping, just southeast of the Water Ruins.
To get inside this mausoleum you’ll need to solve a simple puzzle. In the water to the east of the hill the mausoleum is built upon you’ll find a red orb, and on the slope leading up to the mausoleum is a bowl on the ground. Use the Vacuum to draw the ball up to the bowl and once the ball is socketed in the bowl the door to the mausoleum will open.
Complete the challenge inside - they might actually require you to try a little bit this time - and you’ll enhance your Vacuum spell, causing it to emit shockwaves that stun enemies when the spell ends!

Copy Upgrade¶
Found along the northeastern edge of the Neverwither region (Age of Magic). Pass through the Eastern Caves and from the easternmost exit to the caves go north, bomb a boulder blocking a ladder, climb said ladder and head east to find the Mausoleum of the Mystic - Copy. You will need to use the Copy spell to depress two pressure plates outside the mausoleum. Enter and complete the trials inside to upgrade your Copy spell, causing the line connecting Faie and Elliot to deal more damage and giving Faie a damage boost while copying Elliot, as well.
