Father Florin was right. We found a cave, and in it – the lost shrine of Saint Mihai. Night had already fallen when we got inside. What we found there – no idea what it is, but it might be of use to the Father’s plan. Didn’t have much time to look around – there was something in the cave besides us. As soon as we got what we came for, we heard a weird chattering noise. And something started moving in the shadows. We’re all brave men and women, but we decided to leave quickly.

Set up a camp in the forest, away from the cave – not wise to travel at night. Hoped to get some provisions in Laslea for the trip back, but the village had been set on fire. We could see the red glow clearly last night.

No idea what happened, but the villagers surely have bigger problems now than aiding a few strangers. Well, no helping it – we have to get by with what we’ve got. Will set out as soon as dawn breaks.
