I am aware that, in the light of the many challenges facing our sacred covenant, leech collection may seem like a trivial pursuit. But make no mistake: these critters are essential for storing blood and hence the nourishment of your beloved boyars and knyaz.

Therefore, spare no efforts to fulfil your assigned quota – and ensure the leeches reach me as soon as they are collected, for they produce spittle only when alive.

Meet my expectations, and you shall be handsomely rewarded.
