I am the vrakhir you’ve surely heard about by now – gossip travels fast in these parts.

I don’t know exactly what part you played in Brencis’s takeover of Vale Sangora, but I have a feeling it was one of convenience, not conviction. I’m sorry to say that this convenience will soon come to an end, together with the mess he caused.

You likely know, or at least suspect, who I am. So let this be the confirmation. And now that you have certainty, allow me to offer you a chance to cooperate with me – do so, and when the time comes, I’ll make sure your role in enacting the knyaz’s plans will be… overlooked.

You’ll find me in Svartrau; I’m staying in a cozy little place south-west of the Cathedral. There is a matter we should discuss face-to-face.
