Be a good pet and write me one of those puffed-up, noble-like letters to Brencis. You know the kind – flourish at the top, bootlicking at the bottom.
Inform him that some vrakhiri bitch was spotted last night in Svartrau, lurking near the north-eastern wall. She was sniffing around, asking after the goat folk, and then poof! One of the poor sods vanished. Guess I should go sniff her out, but I don’t feel like it. Make up some proper excuse for why I don’t have time for this.
Wrap it up with some polite drivel and make bloody sure it gets to Brencis.
