Welcome to the new Gamer Guides Updates section! This is where we’ll share the latest product improvements and site updates, so you can follow along as Gamer Guides evolves over time.

Our goal is to build the best possible tools and guides for gamers across a wide range of games and genres. If you have ideas or feedback, you can reach us via our Feedback form or by leaving a comment below.

You can also subscribe to our Newsletter from your Settings page - we’ll send you a link whenever a new update post goes live.

With that said, here’s what’s new for March 2025.

New Site Themes

Gamer Guides includes desktop site themes - background artwork that gives the site a more immersive gaming look and feel while you browse. We add new themes regularly, and here are the latest additions:

2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows
3. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
4. Metaphor Refantazio
5. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
6. Dragon Age: Veilguard

Improved Search

Our site-wide search used to return only guides - but that wasn’t ideal if you were trying to find a specific page, database item, or map.

Search is now significantly more powerful. You can search across:

• Guides
• Guide Pages
• Database Items
• Maps
• Map Markers

Each category can be expanded to drill down into more results. You’ll see the top 3 results as a preview, and you can click See All to view the full results page and keep searching until you find exactly what you need.

New Map Features

Map Layers

Some of our interactive maps now support map layers. When available, you’ll see a layer selector in the bottom-right corner of the map. This is especially useful for games with verticality or multiple floors/levels, letting you swap the view (and the markers) to match the layer you want.

You can see an example on our Infinity Nikki Firework Isles Map. Click the button on the bottom-right toolbar to open the layer selector, then choose a layer to instantly update the map view and markers.

Map Selector and Search

We’ve also refreshed the design of the map selector and search box so they’re easier to spot and simpler to use.
