Cut That Out Trophy/Achievement Guide

Most of the trophies and achievements in Borderlands 4 are pretty straightforward, as they ask you to level up characters or complete all of the side quests. However, there are a few of them that are a bit of a mystery, like the Cut That Out trophy/achievement. This one tasks you with finding the cutout of Patricia Tannis, a character that’s been a long part of the series. This page will detail where to find the cutout, as well as how to unlock this trophy/achievement.

Patricia Tannis Cutout Location

If you were just going around on your own, finding this easter egg would be pretty challenging. Luckily, that’s why you’re reading this guide. You can find this pretty much right from the beginning of the game, but it’s a good idea to have a weapon that only shoots a single bullet, like a Jakobs gun. Once you do, start from the Crimson Resistance HQ you found at the beginning, with Claptrap. Head west/southwest to the beachfront and just follow the coast to the west and then north.

(1 of 3) Start out by traveling to the Crimson Resistance HQ.

You’re pretty much going to the northwestern corner of the Coastal Bonescape area of the map, the starting section. When you discover Sandytoes Villa, then you’ll be getting closer, so keep going north until you see a structure with some large turrets on it. This should be entry into The Howl area, so that’s another indication. That tower and the adjacent little gazebo stand is where you need to be, but make sure you defeat any enemies here before you do anything. Also, do not destroy the elemental barrels you see, as they are part of this easter egg.

There is a barrel for each of the elements, so five in total. What you need to do is destroy the barrels in a specific order. Shoot each barrel just a single time, then it fully explode before you move onto the next one. For the first barrel, you’re going with Corrosive, then moving onto Cryo for the second one. The third is Fire, and the fourth is Shock, with Radiation being the final one. If you mess up at all, quit the game, then come back to this spot to try again.

  • Corrosive
  • Cryo
  • Fire
  • Shock
  • Radiation

(1 of 3) The location of the easter egg on the map.

Just to reiterate the order from above, in a nice list form. Once you’ve done it right, a large cardboard cutout will pop out of the water, with it playing a cut little scene. There will also be some different music playing, so that’s another cue. Stay there until it ends and eventually, the trophy/achievement will finally unlock!
