Battlemage Hugues is a magician Boss enemy that is found in Sellia Evergaol, in central Caelid north from Sellia town.

• Battlemage Hugues is found in Sellia Evergaol, Caelid.

• Be sure to equip a Shield that provides adequete Magic protection.
• Great Glintstone Shard can be cast up to 6 times in a row.
• Be wary of his ground slam attack when you’re in melee range, this impacts the entire area around him.
• He has low poise, so using Colossoal weapons or other like-minded weaponry will allow you to stagger him easily.
• You can score an easy Backstab at the start of the battle as he’s summoning in.

Cemetery Shade is a dark and formless creature found in Tombsward Catacombs, Black Knife Catacombs, and the Caelid Catacombs.

Cemetery Shade Boss Fights:

• Found in the Caelid Catacombs, located to the south of Caelid.

• The Shade is quite agile and teleports around the room so melee users may struggle. Buff any weapon you have with magic damage where possible.
• Bring a shield with 100 Physical protection to block it’s quick combos.
• For magic users, use spells that are quick to cast or else you’ll be left open.

Cleanrot Knight is a tall knight clad in golden armor with distinct tufts of decorative crimson fur. He wields a sword and spear and is found as a boss in multiple locations.

• Two Cleanrot Knights are encountered as a duo boss fight at the end of Abandoned Cave in Caelid.

• It’s highly recommended to use a Spirit Ash in this battle to help handle the encounter.
• Consider taking down the Sickle wielder first as it will attack you from range.
• Always be aware of the Spear wielder so you can avoid the deadly impale attack.
• Make sure you have a way to recover from Scarlet Rot and attempt to fight away from it.

A large and imposing human commander who wields a halberd that doubles as a battle standard, rousing his spirit minions to battle with unquenchable fervor.

• Commander O’Neil can be found in the large clearing in the Swamp of Aeonia, north of the Heart of Aeonia site of grace, west of Gowry’s Shack.

• Drops the Key Item: Unalloyed Gold Needle which is needed to progress Gowry’s quest.

• Summons spirits throughout the battle that can be buffed by his Commander’s Standard weapon increasing their attack and defense.

• Multiplayer is available for this boss.

• Spirit Summons are available for this boss.

• Can be poise broken.

Crucible Knight & Misbegotten Warrior is a duo boss fight in Elden Ring, located in Remane Castle after the events of the festival.

• Redmane Castle Plaza in southern Caelid. You must defeat Starscourge Radahn first and return to the area to have the boss fight appear.

• Only Misbegotten Warrior will be present at the start of the battle. Crucible Knight will join after you lower its HP to 50%.
• You should focus on finishing off Misbegotten Warrior first, as it is easier to keep your distance from the Crucible Knight
• The Crucible Knight has the same attack patterns as the one in Limgrave.

Death Rite Bird is a group of large bird skeleton Bosses found in various locations.

• Found in Caelid east from the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank site of grace, before Sellia Gateway.

• If you’re fighting this as a melee then avoid using horseback as it’s easy to get knocked off.
• The Death Rite Bird is vulnerable to Holy damage, using this should be make short work of it.
• These bosses are much easier as a magic user, you can keep your distance and avoid most of its attacks without hassle.
• When fighting melee, fight under its legs, this will allow you to avoid most attacks outside of its pecks.

Decaying Ekzykes is a dragon boss in Elden Ring, located in the Caelid region. All dragon bosses are a source of Dragon Hearts needed for special Incantations.

• Decaying Ekzykes can be encountered just to the northwest of the Cathedral of Dragon Communion located to the far south of Caelid.

• Unlike other dragons, Decaying Ekzykes will spew Scarlet Rot instead of Fire, making it far more deadly.
• Ensure you have a means to recover from Scarlet Rot as it’s likely you will be impacted by it.
• This dragon is weak to Hemorrhage so it’s advisable to use weapons that inflict Blood Loss buildup.

Elder Dragon Greyoll is a massive dragon, laying on the ground surrounded by regular ones and is found in Caelid. This is an optional boss and is not required to continue progress.

• Elder Dragon Greyoll can be found at the Caelid region, surrounded by smaller dragons.

• Drops 5X Dragon Hearts.

Erdtree Avatar (Caelid) is a large, headless Boss creature that looks like a tree stump wielding a large staff. They can be found in various locations where they guard the Minor Erdtrees. The Erdtree Avatar (Caelid) attacks will inflict scarlet rot on you.

• Northern Caelid, east of the Smoldering Church.

• All Erdtree Avatars are weak to Fire.
• You’ll only have a small area to fight this Erdtree Avatar in, make use of the tree to shield you from its homing attacks.
• This Erdtree Avatar uses Scarlet Rot inflicting attacks, ensure you have adequete means to recover from it.

In this fight you will fight two Erdtree Watchdogs. One has a Sword and the other has a Scepter.

• You can encounter this Erdtree Burial Watchdog in the Minor Erdtree Catacombs, located to the east of the Smoldering Church in northern Caelid.

• You will fight two Erdtree Burial Watchdogs at the same time in this battle.
• One has a sword, while the other wields a scepter.
• The Sword user should be killed first.
• The Scepter wielder can cast Glintstone Shards at you, use the pillars to protect yourself from them. It’s slower ground pound will cause magic damage in an area of effect around the impact.
• Consider using a Spirit Ash to even the odds so you can focus on one at a time.

The Fallingstar Beast is a massive quadruped made up of crystals and is found at the end of the Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Caelid. This is an optional boss and is not required to progress.

• You can encounter Fallingstar Beast in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, located to the northwest of the Sellia Backstreets Site of Grace in Caelid.

• You don’t have a lot of space for this fight.
• Most of Fallingstar Beast’s attacks hit a wide area of effect, be prepared to dodge or block at any given moment.
• When its horns are electrified, get ready to keep moving to avoid it’s lightning spikes.
• Be wary of its Tail Swipe when attacking it from behind.

Flying Dragon Greyll is a Greater Foe Boss. Flying Dragon Greyll is a grey dragon found on the bridge in the northeast part of Dragonbarrow in Caelid.

• Flying Dragon Greyll is patrolling the large bridge between Northern and Southern Dragonbarrow.

• Be sure to fight this battle on horseback.
• You can stagger it by attacking its legs, calling it to topple over.
• Once toppled, you can perform a critical attack on its head.
• Beware of when Greyll flies high in the air, it’s about to breath fire along the bridge.

Frenzied Duelist is a Field Boss in Elden Ring that can be found in the Gaol Cave.

• Frenzied Duelist is located at the end of Gaol Cave, found to the southwest of Caelid.

• Weak to Hemorrhage, Frostbite, and Poison
• Will swing his axe on a chain when you’re at range, this has great reach.
• As melee, keep close to avoid the ranged attack but be wary of his grab.
• Roll away if you see him left his foot, he will stomp the ground and cause damage in a small area of effect around him.

Godskin Apostles are powerful and agile humanoids wielding unique twinblade weapons and black flame magic. They can be encountered in multiple locations.

• Found at the basement of the Divine Tower of Caelid.

• Weak to Hemorrhage and Slash attacks.
• This is much easier as a magic user, keep your distance watch out for its Black Flame attack.
• Once you lower its HP to half, it will began to stretch its body, massively increasing its range.
• Dodge the spinning blade attack and you can score some free attacks while its locked in animation.

Multiple Mad Pumpkin Head bosses can be encountered in different locations, often wielding massive weapons and wearing distinctive helmet where they get their name. This page covers the duo boss fight. The single Mad Pumpkin Head instance is located in Waypoint Ruins.

• A duo of Mad Pumpkin Heads are found in a large room under the Caelem Ruins in Caelid. One wields a Flail and the other wields a Hammer.

• Consider taking out the Flail wielder first, it’s by far the more agile of the two.
• Regardless of your choice, focus on one at a time.
• Consider using a Spirit Ash to give one of them another target to focus on.

Magma Wyrm is a lesser dragon that wielding a gigantic curved sword. It can expel molten lava from its mouth and is very nimble and aggressive. Magma Wyrm can be found at the end of Gael Tunnel. This is an optional boss, as players are not required defeat it to advance in Elden Ring.

Magma Wyrm can be found at the very end of Gael Tunnel in Caelid. Gael Tunner is a set of tunnels found on the western edge of Caelid, along the border to Limgrave.

The Night’s Cavalry are a group of Bosses that are large knights that ride atop dark steeds, wielding large flails and halberds. There are several Night’s Cavalry bosses in various areas of the game and they only appear at night.

• Patrols the area around the Caelid Highway in the south of Caelid.

The Nox Swordstress & Nox Priest are found to the very northwest of Sellia, Town of Sorcery in eastern Caelid. Their chamber is initially sealed with a barrier that requires you to light a brazier in the northwest section of the map by jumping across the rooftops.

The Putrid Crystalian Trio is a fight against the Putrid Crystallians. The enemies are the Crystallian (Spear), Crystallian (Ringblade) & Crystallian (Staff). The Damage from all attacks builds Scarlet Rot.

• The Crystalians are found Sellia Hideaway. They can also be found in Academy Crystal Cave, Altus Tunnel and Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel.

Thye Putrid Tree Spirit is a Boss a blood-rotted tree found in the War-Dead Catacombs.

Starscourge Radahn is a massive and destructive demigod located in Caelid. He can be found from Redmane Castle after activating the Radahn Festival. This is done by progressing far enough in Ranni’s questline or activating any site of grace in Altus Plateau. Defeating Starscourge Radahn is required for at least one ending of the game and to complete certain NPC questlines. However he does not have to be defeated to complete the game.
