This page offers a guide on how to complete The Grass is Greener main quest in My Time at Sandrock.
To access this quest, you’ll first need to have completed Moisture Farm Blues.
Desert Planting¶
The day after you help instal a new Hydrogel at the Moisture Farm. You’ll receive a letter from 
Zeke asking you to pop over to the farm to speak to him after you’ve made a 
Basic Planting Kit, which he’ll give you a recipe for.
Wait for the letter from Zeke to receive the recipe.
How to Make the Basic Planting Kit¶
Once you’ve received the recipe, you can make the kit on the Workbench. To make it, you’ll need the following materials:

You’ll need a Basic Planting kit to farm.
How to Farm in My Time at Sandrock¶
When you speak to him, he’ll give you a mini tutorial on desert planting - which is basically farming!
Zeke will explain that to farm, you’ll need a Basic Planting Kit which he has already sent you a crafting recipe for. You should have made one before speaking to him.
Zeke will teach you how to desert farm.
You’ll first need to set down a straw grid because the sandy desert is too dry for farming! You’ll need one straw grid for each singular plant so if you want to get a big farm going, you’ll want to get a lot of straw!
Zeke will give you +3 Straw and +3 Sandrice seeds to start you off! Your next task in this main quest will be to harvest 3 Sandrice plants!
How to Harvest Sandrice¶
First off, return to your workshop and equip your Basic Planting Kit. You can equip it by putting it on your hotbar. Then, you’ll be able to activate a planting mode.
In planting mode, select the straw and use it to make a straw grid on the floor. Then, select the seeds and place them on the straw grid. You’ll want to do this for all 3 sandrice seed bags.
Use the Basic Planting Kit to plant some Sandrice.
Next up is watering the plants! To do this, you’ll need a water barrel for each plant. You can either purchase water barrels or extract 3 water barrels from your water tank. It’ll take a few days for the plants to mature so make sure to keep an eye on them and harvest them when they’re done. Once you’ve got them, speak to Zeke and you’ll earn Flashy Desert Defender Goggles, +500 Experience, +80 Gols and +15 Reputation.
