Super Mario RPG (2023)

Completing The Monstro Town Tadpole Song at Tadpole Pond - Super Mario RPG

By
Jessica Dillon

There are three melodies that you need to find to completely gain access to all that the Juice Bar has to offer in Super Mario RPG. The third song is called Monstro Town Melody and can only be found once you’ve visited Monstro Town. The guide below goes over where to find the final song and how to play it at Melody Bay.

You will need to complete the Monstro Town melody to get the final Juice Bar card.

Where is Melody Bay?

Melody Bay is located at Tadpole Pond in the second area of the map. You can tell you are in the right place as there is a rectangle pond with lines running through it. In addition, the NPC Toadofsky will be standing on the other side of the pond. Here, you can use tadpoles to compose songs found in the game.

Tadpole Pond Monstro Town Melody Solution

The Monstro Town Melody is the final song that you can find in the game. As the name suggests, you will need to go to Monstro Town to find it. Once there, go to Monstermama’s house and up the steps to the second floor. You will see a pink star on the dresser that plays a song when interacted with. Behind the star on the wall are some notes that show you how to arrange the tadpoles.

(1 of 2) You can learn the notes to the last song in Monstro Town.

You can learn the notes to the last song in Monstro Town. (left), This is the order the tadpoles need to be in to complete the Monstro Town Melody. (right)

This time you will be playing the notes La, Ti, Do, Re, So, Do, Re, and Mi. The first tadpole should be located between the second and third lines on the right. The next tadpole goes on the middle line. The third tadpole goes between the second and third line on the left side, and the fourth tadpole goes on the second line on the left side. The fifth tadpole goes on the second line on the right side. The next tadpole should be placed in between the second and third line on the left side, with the following tadpole on the second line on the left. The last tadpole should be between the first and second lines on the left side.

For your efforts, you will get the third and final Juice Bar card, the Soprano Card. You can use this to purchase Croaka Cola for 200 coins. This drink has the ability to fully heal the parties’ HP and FP. After this, Toadofsky will ask you to help make his final song. You can hop on the tadpoles once again in any order to complete this. At the end, Toadofsky will play the final song, but you won’t get any rewards for completing this task.

Along the way you’ll encounter enemies from the Smithy Gang, and you’ll unlock access to a whole cast of nostalgic playable characters, from Princess Peach to Geno the puppet to the adorable Mallow.

This guide includes everything you need to make your way through the Super Mario RPG remake. Whilst this game is a faithful remake of the original, the game developers, ArtePiazza, have also included some fun post-game match-ups for those who are looking for an extra challenge and a departure from the OG game!
