There are plenty of things to collect in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales: cats, Shards of Life, weapons, accessories… and of course mandatory lore dumps in the form of Manuscripts. These appear in-game as sparkly spots on the ground, on desks, in bookshelves, etc., and if you examine them you’ll get a text manuscript you can read if you care for some optional lore, world-building and story. None of this ever comes up in gameplay, but if you collect them all you’ll obtain the History’s Tapestry trophy/achievement. To that end, this page will list all the Manuscripts in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.

Note that the manuscripts will be listed in the order in which they appear on the bookshelf in the orphanage in Huther (Age of Safekeeping) so you can at a glance compare what you’ve found to the manuscripts listed in this guide. These are not sorted by where you’ll find them or in chronological order.

After completing the mandatory side quests ”A Spear with a Past” and ”A Good Old Bow”, visit the princess’s room and talk to the king, then return to Euygene’s room and search the sparkly spot between two shelves along the top left of the room to find this manuscript (Age of Safekeeping).

In the Southern Caves - Marshland Exit (Age of Reconstruction), you’ll find this manuscript on the ground near a ladder. You’ll pass through here during the main quest objective “Head to the southern caves”, making this manuscript hard to miss.

After obtaining the Heavy Hammer in the Age of Reconstruction, return to the Age of Safekeeping and head to the Temple of Trials, which can be found just east of the Southern Westerea adventurer’s guidepost. This manuscript is inside the Temple of Trials, on the floor along the eastern edge of the entry room.

Found on the floor of the Chief’s House (Age of Budding) along the northern edge of town - not the Meeting Hall, where Kai can usually be found, but rather the house where Kai’s Wife and Kai’s Son dwell.

You’ll find this Manuscript in the Mount Phoenix dungeon in the Age of Reconstruction. You must defeat the Salathmadra boss to get up the stairs behind where you fought it, which will take you up to a ledge on Mount Phoenix - First Level, where this manuscript will be waiting on the floor. It’s only accessible when you’re searching for the Tracing Needle as part of the main questline.

Search for this manuscript in the Mount Phoenix dungeon (Age of Budding), it’s on the Mount Phoenix - Sublevel One level, on the ground along the southeastern corner of the level. You’ll have to jump across numerous sinking platforms across magma to reach this.

You’ll find this manuscript on Mount Phoenix - Third Level. Take the stairs up from the second level then search the ground to the northeast to find it.

In the Rainbow Lotus dungeon (Age of Safekeeping), on the Rainbow Lotus - Innermost Area level. Defeat The Lord of the Maw boss and enter the room it was guarding to find a big red chest containing the Moonmirror shield. This manuscript is on the floor in the same chamber, along the western edge of the room.

In the Rainbow Lotus dungeon, on the Rainbow Lotus - Sublevel One floor (Age of Reconstruction). Go down the stairs on the northeastern corner of the Rainbow Lotus - First Level floor, then head west and south to find these notes sparkling away on the ground, just to the east of some more stairs.

In the Grandtree dungeon (Age of Safekeeping), on the Grandtree - Second Level floor. You’ll find it sparkling among a bunch of grass on the northern end of the level.

In the Dragonpillar dungeon in the Age of Magic, on the Dragonpillar - Sublevel One level. Along the southern end of the level are three islands. Jump a gap to reach them and search the ground on the largest of these three islands to find this manuscript. You will need the Vacuum spell to solve a puzzle and open a gate to reach this area.

You’ll find this manuscript in the Mount Phoenix - First Level dungeon (Age of Magic), on the floor along the eastern edge of the level, just east and south of the stairs down.

In the Geared Ruins - Second Level (Age of Reconstruction). Find a chamber with a pit spanned by several spinning gears and jump across said gears to reach a ledge on the eastern edge of the room. This manuscript is on a tile along the southern edge of this ledge, opposite four pots.

Immediately after passing through the Doorway of Time to reach the Age of Magic, search the northeastern corner of the room you appear in to find this manuscript on the floor.

In the Northern Tower - Sublevel Two area in the Age of Reconstruction. You can get this after the second encounter with Kaifried here, it’s on the floor by a pillar along the edge of the circular platform.

During the endgame, after the events at the Northern Tower in the Age of Magic with Ikarus, Hildebrandt and Mao, return to Ikarus’s manor in Weyzn (Age of Magic) and search a bookshelf upstairs, in the southwestern corner.
