Ambrus's Prisoners - Lucky Crossing
Draining Dungeon - Evil and Convenience
Harvesting blood from the human cattle under his domain seems to be
Ambrus’s chief responsibility as the youngest of
Brencis’s boyars, but after it has been drained and anti-coagulants, it still has to be transported - by surprisingly primitive means - to its destination. Easily the least lucrative of all of the Ambrus quests, this page will nevertheless cover the the two Blood Transport quests - Blood Business and Roadside Surprise, including your odd encounter with Klaus the Brave in
The Blood of Dawnwalker!

Roadside Surprise Walkthrough¶
You can find this quest in the shadow of the Military Camp along the western part of Ambrus’s domain, just southwest of the Stoneward Post shrine. This quest is simple enough to complete, just approach the soldiers lounging near some barrels in the shade of a tree and they’ll attack. Be wary, however, as their number includes three human soldiers and two
Uriash, so you may want to wait until nightfall in order to benefit from your vrakhir claws and abilities.
Defeat them all, then interact with the barrels they were guarding - this costs 3 TIME. Once smashed you’ll find that a man named Klaus - sorry, Klaus the Brave - stowed away inside. He fancies himself a rebel and while his heart’s in the right place, his head… well, his head might not be attached to his shoulders much longer the way he’s going. Go through how dialog options and note that asking him about Stoneward Post will update the quest [
The Firebrand], although it doesn’t really do anything essential to move said quest forward or give you any advantage.
Finally you’ll get a choice. Discourage Klaus’s reckless bravado by telling him ”You better drop this act while you still can.” or encourage him to keep up the good fight by picking the option ”Keep on fighting, then.
Crake will notice, eventually.”. Klaus will take warnings more seriously than encouragement, oddly enough. Either way, the quest will end and you’ll obtain 250 EXP, 1x Skill Point and 1x
Kobold’s Blood.
Defeat the guards transporting blood barrels, including the poor, burdened Uriash,
then loot one of the human guards to obtain a “Letter of Reprimand”.
Bloody Business Walkthrough¶
By far the least interesting of Ambrus’s quests, you’ll find this patrol roving the woods along the eastern edge of Ambrus’s domain, along the road between the
Maragir Wealds to the north and Maragir village itself to the south. This patrol consists of three guards and one Uriash, who seems to have drawn the unenviable task of transporting a barrel of blood on its back due to its size. Guess wagons and beasts of burden are in short supply… Anyways, kill this patrol and loot one of the (human) guards to find a
Letter of Reprimand and a fair bit of other loot. After reading this letter the quest will end and you’ll get 250 EXP.
Oddly, this is the only Ambrus quest that does not give a Skill Point, and with a 3 TIME cost, it’s really hard to justify doing this for a measly 250 EXP. At this point we’re assuming it’s an oversight and the Skill Point will be patched in, but until then, you may as well ignore it.
