Deep Down
Bad Blood - How to Rescue Vladimir - Vladimir's Fate
Disturbed is a fairly generic prologue quest as far as rewards go, but it introduces you to some important story beats a bit earlier than the main questline and gives you some forewarning for important story developments that will occur later, making it an interesting quest to play through with your limited time during the prologue. This page will cover the quest Disturbed in
The Blood of Dawnwalker, with info about the choices you can make during the quest.

Disturbed Info and Rewards¶
Find Crina crying by an exhumed grave to start the quest,
and search the open grave to get clues you need to progress.
Starting Disturbed¶
To start this quest, you’ll need to head to the graveyard outside the walls of the castle along the eastern edge of
Laslea Glen. Here you’ll find a woman named
Crina bent over an open grave. Talk to her and you’ll find the cause of her grief - the grave of her grandson has been robbed, and recently. Coen, having family buried nearby, will sympathize with Crina - offer to help find the grave robber to advance the quest.
After you’re done talking to Crina, investigate some boards on the edge of the grave and examine the points of interest to note some clay-like red soil and some boot prints.
Follow tracks down the road until you find the merchant, Rainer.
Go between two houses behind Rainer and examine a guiltily mud-encrusted shovel.
Track Down the Grave Robber¶
Use Focus Mode by holding down and follow some footprints down the trail to the southwest until it connects to the larger road. Turn right and examine some clay on the stone wall along the road, then follow the footprints downhill away from the castle. If you haven’t started the quest
Someone Needs a Lesson, you’ll probably trigger that now as you follow the road - ignore
Vasil and his taunts for now and continue following the tracks,
Search a stash in a shed,
then beat up an angry Kostel.
Near the road you’ll find a merchant Rainer, standing by his produce stall. Head past him and follow the tracks between the houses. Find a broken shovel past a fenced garden and when you examine it you’ll note that it’s covered in fresh, red clay. Enter the shed nearby, turn left inside and search a partially-concealed stash on the floor, only to be interrupted by an understandably irate man named
Kostel. Note that it costs 1 TIME to interact with the stash, and if you play your cards right and stifle your empathy, this should be the only time cost of the quest.
You’re snooping in Kostel’s shed, and whether he’s a grave robber or not, he’s probably not going to be happy with you snooping around in his belongings, so naturally he picks a fight. Win the scuffle and a man named
Vladimir will intervene, and he’s a bit more level-headed than Kostel. Low bar, we know.
Take the cross back from Vladimir or let him keep it,
then return to Crina, who will attempt to get you to waste time reburying her grandson.
Choice: Keep Vladimir’s Secret or Recover Kvet’s Cross¶
Drink what’s offered or not, either way, Vladimir will confess to the crime and explain his reasons, ghoulish as the act is. Exhaust Vladimir’s dialog options to get some lore and eventually you’ll get two options: ”I’ll keep this between us.” and ”Give Kvet’s cross back.”. Demand the cross back and Vladimir will concede, but if you let him off the hook he’ll keep it.
Cross or not, return to Crina. If you got the cross back, give it to her and lie about where you found it or tell the truth - it doesn’t really matter, surprisingly, nor does it change anything if you encourage her to keep Vladimir’s guilt to herself or say nothing. Apparently despite their disputes, the mortals dwelling in Laslea Glen keep their quarrels away from the vrakhiri. You’ll get 250 EXP and 25
Denarius no matter if you tattle on Vladimir or give the cross back.
After helping Crina (to whatever degree you actually provide any assistance) she’ll ask you to help rebury her grandson, a truly altruistic act which confers no benefit to you whatsoever, but it does consume 1 TIME.. Think of this as a lesson - the game will give you opportunities to waste your time, and aside from feelies and roleplaying, the game doesn’t feel compelled to actually reward you for your time.
