The Three Day Cycle

It’s a tall order to beat the game in three days, but luckily you can cheat time!

Your role as the hero is to stop the moon from falling within three days. This will require you to reset the three-day cycle numerous times in order to complete, an ability you will learn shortly after starting the game.

Each day starts at 6:00 AM and ends at 5:59 AM, they function on a 24 hour clock. Time is stopped when talking to people or reading, as well as when you have the Select Item Screen or Bombers’ Notebook open.

When you play the Song of Time and return to Dawn of the First Day all your rupees and some items will be lost, dungeons revert back to their initial status, but you keep any Masks and main items you’ve collected.

This feature allows you to access different events and accomplish different tasks with your new items on a fresh cycle.
