Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Ormond Recruitment Guide

By
Shane Williams

There are 120+ recruitable characters in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and they are typically obtained naturally throughout the main story, but some will require you to seek them out on your own. There are some that even require you to do something extra, which is the case with Ormond. He will ask you to find three Iron Ore. On this page, we’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding Iron Ore.

The Miserly Miner Ormond Joins The Team.

Where to Find Ormond

You’ll need to complete the Abandoned Mine dungeon which takes place during the Searching the Tunnels mission before you can recruit Ormond. This is fairly lengthy dungeon that requires you to move minecarts around in order to progress and find all chests, so you may want to follow our Abandoned Mine Walkthrough to prevent you from missing anything. Once you’ve finished with the dungeon, return to the Abandoned Mine via the well in the Headquarters and speak with Ormond.

He’ll request that you give him three Iron Ore before he’ll consider joining your team. You should already have these in your inventory if you’ve been interacting with all of the nodes up until this point of the game, but if you don’t then there’s a node next to him that has a chance to give you some or you can do another run through the abandoned mine to find multiple nodes. Additionally, if you speak with Hiro once more in the dungeon then he’ll also join your team. Ormond is a support character that increases the amount of items obtained at mining points which will become extremely useful when it comes to improving your headquarters.
