Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Unlocking Fast Travel

By
Jarrod Garripoli

As you’re playing through the main story of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you will notice that you cannot fast travel from one location to another. Yes, you will have to make the trek on foot to many places, which can be a little slow without the accessory that increases your map movement. Thankfully, there is a character that you can recruit that unlocks the ability to fast travel, but you won’t be able to get Carrie until you get to Hishahn.

Fast traveling will make it a lot easier to revisit older towns and areas.

Carrie Recruitment Guide

Hishahn is a town that you will have to go to in the Euchrisse region of the world map. You will be forced to go there not too long after clearing the Proving Grounds dungeon. Once you arrive at the town, the story will ask you to meet up at the inn, but you can go around and explore, while recruiting a lot of different characters. One of these characters is named Carrie, who will unlock the ability to fast travel to any previously visited location.

Thankfully, you don’t have to go very far to unlock Carrie, as she will be located in Hishahn. You will have to go around town and trigger some scenes with her, which will happen along the bridges in the town. The first is the long bridge on the western side of the town, then the second will occur on the other long bridge. To be on the safe side, when you get prompted with a choice, pick the first one in each instance here. The third, and final encounter with Carrie occurs on a smaller bridge towards the southeastern portion of Hishahn.

(1 of 5) You will first run into Carrie by the western bridge in Hishahn.

At this point, you can ask her to join your army, which will unlock fast travel. You can either have her in your active party, if you wish to fast travel, but she also gives you a key item that allows you to do it without her being in your active party. Just open your map, go to World Map and choose any destination there to instantly travel to it. Note that you won’t be able to do this inside of dungeons and there may be some story segments that prevent you from doing it, too. You can also find Carrie on the first floor of your HQ castle when she’s not in your party, if you wish to travel from there.
