The MCW is one of the new Assault Rifles added into Modern Warfare 3 and its stats aren’t very balanced but it has a high fire rate and medium range which makes it a better candidate for close to medium-range combat. MCW Challenges Tips in MW3¶

There are eight challenges available for the MCW and as long as you’ve leveled the weapon up enough, then you should be able to complete challenges 1-3 together. You’ll want to equip the Cronen Mini Red Dot Reticle as this will make lining up your shots easier, then you’ll want to play none-objective based game modes like TDM or Free-For-All while making sure that you ADS (Aim-Down-Sights) with every gunfight. Headshots will require you to play more defensively and pick enemies off from a distance. Next up, you’ll need to get 24 Tac Stance Kills which is a new mechanic in MW3, so check out our What is Tactical Stance in MW3? to learn more about it, but it Reduces Bullet Spread which makes it easier to get kills in close-quarters situations. This challenge is best done on the smaller maps, such as Rust or Highrise.

MCW Gilded Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges in MW3¶

Once you’ve completed the four basic camos you’ll move on to the MCW Gilded Camo Challenge which requires you to kill three players with one magazine, so you’ll want to equip a magazine with more bullets and burst fire. If you find enemies are going easily enough, then you may want to try the hardcore mode as the enemies will have reduced health. Upon completion of the MCW Gilded Camo Challenge, you’ll need to unlock the Gilded Camo for the remaining five Assault Rifles before you can move onto the MCW Forged Camo Challenge.

This Camo requires you to get a three killstreak 10 times which is pretty simple, as you can just find somewhere to hide and take down enemies from the shadows. Alternatively, you can run around to outside of the map and pick off the odd one or two enemies instead of large groups out in the open. You’ll now need to obtain the Forged Camo for all 36 Weapons before you can finally move onto the Priceless Camo Challenge which requires you to get 5 Kills without 10 ten times which is something that’ll take a while to complete if you’re not the most skilled player in the world, but the best way to achieve this is to play objective-based game-modes such as Headquarters or Control as the enemy will be distracted and stick to hiding in buildings and pick off enemies that run past outside.
