How to Farm on Dondoko Island

By
Jessica Dillon

Material farming in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a time sink that will eat up hours of your time. The more you raise your resort ranking, the more true this becomes as furniture starts to cost ever more materials to create. Without clearing the entire island each day, things can quickly become overwhelming. The guide below goes over how to quickly and effectively farm materials so that you can complete Dondoko Island.

Build an area for resource farming on Dondoko Island to make your playthrough much easier.

How to Farm Materials Quickly on Dondoko Island

Dondoko Island is a slow grind that really wants to take a chunk of your time up. You can mitigate the time it takes to collect materials for more complicated furniture blueprints once you start to unlock passive resource collectors. After clearing your first area, you will begin to receive trash every morning at the resource collection points. As soon as you reach Resort Rank-One, you will be able to create stone and woodworking areas. You can place down five of these areas. After this, you will also get stoneworking and woodworking every morning from the resource point. These areas are quite pricey, with the wood and stone areas starting out at 70,000 Dokobucks each. Keep in mind that there is no way to make the clock go by quicker, so you will still want to use your time on the island collecting other resources to make the most out of your time. We also recommend always having a tour ongoing to gain more Dokobucks, which in turn can help to fund the development of your resort.

Additionally, there are waste dumps and garbage pickup areas that you can purchase from the shop. These follow the same rules as the wood and stone areas. As you unlock more resort ranks, you will unlock better resource gatherers and even get gardening kits and unlock the chicken coop. Crop patches will allow you to collect food every morning in front of the shop, which can help you make souvenirs to give to your tourists. While it’s a bit of an investment to buy these areas, they will ensure that you can get the materials you need to build furniture and move to the next resort rank more quickly. Additionally, you can use your Sujimon on Dondoko Farm to produce more trash and crops for an extra resource boost. Keep in mind that using Sujimon is also a slow time gated process, so it should only be looked at as a way to occasionally get bonus resources.
