How to Train Sujimon on Dondoko Farm

By
Jessica Dillon

Dondoko Island is a major piece of side content that offers you an easy way to train up your Sujimon. You can begin doing this once you unlock Dondoko Farm, but the process of learning to use all the features that the mini island has to offer can be a bit confusing. The guide below goes over Dondoko Farm and how to use it to gain items, money, and experience for your Sujimon.

Arriving at Dondoko Farm.

When Does Dondoko Farm Unlock

Dondoko Farm is another area of the map that will unlock once you reach a two-star resort ranking. Once this is done, you will be able to use the raft on Mukku Beach to move to Dondoko Farm. This area is rich in collectibles and doubles as a spot to train up your Sujimon. If you head north after arriving on the island, you will find several different facilities to use. Most of these both train your Sujimon and produce goods, but if you are just looking to level up quickly, then you can use the gym in the center of the area.

Dondoko Farm’s Sujimon Activities

Outside of collecting a high number of materials, the focus of Dondoko Farm is Sujimon training. There are five areas which you can place Sujimon to gain levels, most of which will also net you goods. Each training station has different training levels that you can choose from, and you can place multiple Sujimon on each one. Besides these training levels, you will see type symbols. Matching the Sujimon typing to that of the training will give you a chance for better growth. In the case of the Crop Patch, the crops you choose to grow will be associated with a typing. Try to match the crops to the three Sujimon you are assigning to the patch. You won’t be able to use the same Sujimon twice, so if you want a bustling farm, it’s best to catch enough Sujimon to fill all the roles below.

Each training level has a time limit, starting with ten minutes and going up to an hour in length. The higher the time limit, the more items and leveling you will get out of a particular task. You can cancel a section at any time, but if you do, then you won’t get any benefit from it. Additionally, if you use the training site then you will need to pay a fee of Dokobucks to start the training session. You will be able to see the possible item yield before starting each training session. Here is a table to help break down each training area on Dondoko Farm.

Dondoko Farm Training Area Number of Sujimon Spots Rewards
Crop Patches Three Produces three crops of Your choice
Recycling Center Three Produces Trash
Training Site Three Only levels Sujimon
Workshop Three Produces Dokobucks
Picnic Table Your current team Increases Affection

You will need to wait in real time for the Sujimon to complete their training. This is best done when you’re actively working at the resort or plan to leave your game idle for extended periods. You will find a bar at the bottom of each facility’s menu that lets you know your chance of experience gain. Once they do, head back to Dondoko Farm to claim your rewards and see how much experience they gained from the task. From here, you can reassign your Sujimon so that they can begin growing more. You can also interact with any of the lead Sujimon that you currently have out on the island, and by petting or using emotes on them, you can increase their affection towards you.

(1 of 4) You can assign up to three Sujimon to a station.

You will find a picnic table on the small island that connects the main farm to the tennis court. At the table will be your current team of Sujimon for you to interact with. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to leave Sujimon, that are currently on your team, to train at any of the facilities. Finally, if you want access to the Suji Spot, then you simply need to speak with Yui.

How to Pet Your Sujimon

To pet a Sujimon, simply go up to them and press the corresponding button to begin petting them. From here, you simply need to hold down the corresponding button and move your cursor back and forth over their body. If it’s working, you should see hearts begin to pop up. The higher a Sujimon’s affection for you is, the better they will do at completing tasks on Dondoko Farm. You can only interact with them once a day, so be sure to do so when you can.

Dondoko Farm Battles

Once you are at resort level four, battles will unlock. This will happen before you can build the bridge to the forest area. You will be first to complete the first battle, as it’s a tutorial on how the system works on the island. For the most part, this is the same as in the normal map, but the battles will pop up randomly. Battles will periodically appear after this point on Dondoko Farm, and you will be alerted when they appear. When they do, the area to the right of the island will have your main team and several wild animals in a standoff.

(1 of 2) Wild animal encounters will occasionally pop-up on Dondoko Farm.

Wild animal encounters will occasionally pop-up on Dondoko Farm. (left), These are easy to complete, but if left alone, productivity will halt for the day. (right)

If you wish to confront them, then simply speak with Yui to start the fight. These wild animals are generally low leveled, so they won’t offer much in the way of experience. If you don’t take care of them, then the farm will quit producing for the day. Defeating animals is also one of the only ways you can obtain Dondoko Sirloin.
