How to Make Dokobucks Quickly - Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

By
Jessica Dillon

Dokobucks are a bit confusing as they’re a third currency introduced in the game, and it doesn’t translate like Yen to USD does. Dokobucks can only be made on Dondoko Island, and while you can exchange them, you can’t take them with you when you leave. To finish Dondoko Island, though, you will need to be a millionaire to finish cleaning up the island. The guide below goes over what Dokobucks are and some tips for making Dokobucks quickly.

Fishing helps bring in money on Dondoko Island.

Best Way to Farm Dokobucks

Making money fast is the goal of Dondoko Island. As prices quickly rise, your resort ranking gets higher. During the starting hours on the island, we highly suggest that you sell any resource that you pick up without hesitation. This includes everything from bugs to seashells. Once you get to Resort Rank One, you should focus on gathering all the ore around the Hill and Lighthouse each day. Only gold, platinum, and diamond ore are used in recipes, and this is very sparse. Unless you are building rank 50 and want a gold statue, don’t hesitate to sell it. Fishing at the early fishing spots won’t yield as much of a haul as the first in the area won’t sell for as much.

Once you reach Resort Rank Two, though, you will unlock Dondoko Farm. On top of this, you will gain access to the Lake and a fishing spot that lets you catch Marlin on the Lake bridge. The bugs around the lake, meadow, and farm area also tend to be a bit better, and you are sure to catch silver and gold-level bugs often. You will want to fish the ocean and lake at Dondoko Farm until they are empty every day. If you’re lucky, you can even catch several Oarfish worth 18,000 Dokobucks each. Dondoko Farm will also have a spot where you can grab a large amount of ore, rarer seashells, like gold coral, and you can farm out dozens of bugs. You should aim to clean out the island each day for a large profit, around 100,000 Dokobucks.

(1 of 3) Use rare tourists to earn more money during tours.

Keep in mind that the more an item’s rank increases, the more it will sell for. At this point, forget about gathering items around Dondoko Beach and Mukku Beach unless you have some extra time to kill. Gachapon Beach is where you will want to grab shells from, as you have a higher chance of getting high-cost items like pearls. Once the Lake is open, make sure to fish there each day, as many of the smaller fish, like the Axolotl, are worth a decent amount of Dokobucks. Typically, in our trials, we tended to have better luck getting valuable fish than we did bugs, but this varies due to the island RNG system.

By Resort Rank Two, you will also be able to make a variety of buildings, many of which will passively collect money from passing guests. While these are a great way to boost your satisfaction and popularity points, they are also worth large chunks of Dokobucks. To streamline this process, begin placing stone and wood areas. You will also want to place the trash stations. This will give you extra resources each day, which means you can make extra buildings. For example, the Karaoke Lounge is worth 43,840 Dokobucks. You can make this low-cost building, along with a higher-cost one like the Host Club, for 141,220 Dokobucks a day for a nice gain on top of your fishing and bug catching.

While you are catching and selling items, make sure to always have a tour going on. This ensures that every three days, you get a nice bonus of Dokobucks, along with a small amount of spending money for the mainland. Use commercials to draw in high-paying clients and invest money into maxing out guest accommodations to hold the maximum number of tourists, ensuring that you have all four theme meters all the way up. This should ensure that the tourist system brings you in a large chunk of Dokobucks every few days. Keep in mind that the more expensive Online Broadcast will typically get you a better selection of tourists at once. Once you reach Resort Rank Five, you can spend your time selling furniture, as you will no longer need to raise your point level and farm out resources to sell towards cashing in for money to use on the mainland.

What Are Dokobucks and What Are They Used For?

Dokobucks are the currency exclusively used on Dondoko Island. This money type can’t be used on the mainland, but you can speak with the Dolphin that takes you back to Hawaii to exchange it for American Cash at the rate of $10 or 1,000 Yen per 1,000 Dokobucks. Once you reach Resort Rank Two, you can easily make around 100,000 to 200,000 Dokobucks a day. This equals $100 to $200 on the mainland. You will need Dokobucks to purchase items at the shop, clear land, build bridges, and buy souvenir recipes. Luckily, after reaching each resort rank, you will be given a bonus amount of Dokobucks to help further your endeavors. When starting out, though, it can be quite confusing just how to make a lot of Dokobucks at once.
