How to Get Ethereal Egesta - Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

By
Jarrod Garripoli

As with any other RPG, getting better equipment is just a matter of natural progression, and it’s no different in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. One of the ways to get stronger weapons is to craft them, but you will need materials for that. One of the best weapons for Ichiban’s "Hero" iconHero class is the "Ultima Egesta" iconUltima Egesta bat, but in order to craft it, you will need a total of 100 "Ethereal Egesta" iconEthereal Egesta, a material that can be a little hard to find. This page will talk about where to find the Ethereal Egesta, as well as the best places to farm it.

You will need 100 Ethereal Egesta for one of Ichiban’s best weapons.

Where to Find the Ethereal Egesta in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

The Ethereal Egesta is a crafting material that you might never find, especially if you avoid certain parts of the map. That’s because one of the main sources for this item is the toilets found around the various sections. There are plenty of bathrooms in the game and you simply need to venture into one to see if the toilet is sparkling. This indicates an item can be obtained from that toilet, so just waltz up to it and grab it like any other pick-up item. Most likely, you will receive the Ethereal Egesta, although there are a few other items that can be found.

Best Way to Get Ethereal Egesta in Infinite Wealth

If you looted some Egesta from the bathrooms and revisited them, you probably noticed that they don’t seem to respawn right away. It’s unclear if some spots only yield a single Egesta and will no longer respawn, but there are some toilets that will actually provide them over and over. There’s a cycle you can do in both Hawaii and Yokohama, where you go between three bathrooms in both places and get two Egesta each time. To get a better understanding of where those three bathrooms are located, check out the screenshots below.

(1 of 3) One bathroom will be right here, along the Aloha Beach.

The first is located on Aloha Beach, right next to the "Aloha Seaside" iconAloha Seaside shop (Aloha Beachfront taxi stop). The second is by the "Alo-Happy" iconAlo-Happy Tours building in Waikiki. After traveling there via the nearby taxi, enter the building right next to the Sujimon trainer (Rookie "Niel" iconNiel) and the bathroom should be right there. For the final spot, you will be heading over to the Anaconda Shopping Center, specifically, the "West Anaconda Shopping Center" iconWest Anaconda Shopping Center taxi stop. Enter the mall and look for the bathroom in the northwestern corner of the ground floor, opposite the escalators leading to the second floor.

Ethereal Egesta: Ben’s Funky Wagon

There is another source for Ethereal Egesta, which is a wagon vendor that can spawn in the Chinatown sector of Hawaii. You should know that Chinatown is an area that has enemies in the 20s, so if you’re coming here as soon as you start the game, you will need to be extra careful. Also, the vendor sells them for $30 each and limits what you can buy to only five at a time, so that’s a total of $150 per visit. If you have the money, then this can be a better option, although the above method might be more cost effective.

The only problem with this one is that Benjamin (he’s an Aloha Link) wanders around and isn’t in the same spot every time. Also, his shop isn’t marked on the map, so you will actually need to run around to find him. That’s where the main problem lies with getting the Egesta using this method, since you might be wandering around a little bit to find the vendor. Remember to only stick to searching Chinatown here (check the in-game map for the area borders), and it’s unknown if he can be found in the alleyways, so you probably only have to stay on the streets.

(1 of 3) Check the area around Chinatown for Ben’s Funky Wagon.

Upon finding Ben, you can simply fast travel to one of the two taxi spots in Chinatown to search for him again. As said in the opening paragraph, you need 100 Ethereal Egestas to craft the Ultima Egesta weapon for Ichiban’s Hero job. It might take a while to craft it, too, since you need to invest in "Julie's Gearworks" iconJulie’s Gearworks to level 4, plus you’ll need an additional $140,000 to craft the weapon itself.
