For the most part, Mina is just equipped with a weapon for her perilous journey, but she can also don items called Trinkets to help her out. These tend to offer a variety buffs for her and can be found in a myriad of ways. Some are found in white chests hidden in various spots, or they may be rewards for helping out some NPCs. There are a total of 60 Trinkets to be found in the game and outside of being able to equip them when you first find them, the only way to put them on is in your Underlab (the checkpoints) or at the Trinket Bazaar in Ossex.

01 - Lace Glove¶
For this one, you will have to encounter the Ack and Dak siblings, who are two NPCs that are on the hunt for the elusive Dugin. There are multiple encounters you can find for these two, which involve a battle with a creature. It’s important to note that the attacks from both Ack and Dak can hurt you in these encounters, so be careful of them. You will receive the Trinket after your second encounter.
- The first likely encounter is found right outside of Ossex, on the eastern side. When you leave the town via the eastern exit, go south to see a screen with what looks like a NPC sunbathing. You won’t see Ack and Dak here at that point, but return after restoring power to the Spark Generator at Queensbury Crypt.
- Another encounter is in Western Wilds - Occupied, the screen right before you enter Nox’s Bayou. Again, you will have to wait until after you fix the Spark Generator in Nox’s Bayou.
02 - Twill Weave¶
You will find this Trinket in Nox’s Bayou. Once you first arrive in Nox’s Bayou, get on the first boat you see and ride it to the next screen to the west. As soon as you get to the edge of the wall on the next screen, you should see a path above it, so abandon the boat to go that way. You can burrow across the water to return to the previous screen, but in the northwest corner. Look for the small hole to burrow into here, leading to a big pool of shallow water. Be careful here, as there is a large fish in the water that can come up and gobble you up. In the northeast corner of this area is a rope you can reach by burrowing to it. Climb the rope and the Trinket Chest will be at the top.
03 - Smelling Salts¶
Before you can get this one, you have to get the train going. To get to the train station in Ossex, you’ll have to go through Western Wilds and open up the bridge from there. Either way, you’ll need 10,000 Bones in order to get the train running, as you have to donate via the box right next to the conductor. Once you’ve done this, get the ticket to Coltrane and set off on the train. Note that if this is your first time doing this, there will be some turbulence, leading to a boss fight. After you defeat the boss, head left from the train station and go down the mountain, towards Eastern Heath. When you reach the area after the holes and vents, drop the rope and the Trinket will be encased in the ice right by the NPC. Push it to the left to free it from the ice.
Note that it is possible to get this Trinket without requiring the train, too. In Eastern Heath - Grassland, you will find the big river here, with Lad flying his kite on the left side just north of the one bridge there. If you use a Kear on the lock northwest of the building with another lock, you can go through a cave that puts you on the right side of the river. As soon as you come out of the cave, there is a ledge you can drop off of that puts you in the river. Go down the stairs on the right a little bit to see a burrow tunnel in the middle of the river, along the northern cliff. Jump off the ledge and hold jump to burrow under that hole, placing you in an area with some moving platforms. Navigate your way north some more and you’ll exit into the Eastern Heath - Frozen Pass area. Burrow jump onto the moving platform on the right, then to the left with the NPC and Trinket encased in the ice.
04 - Brisk Brew¶
Bought from the Trinket Bazaar in Ossex.
05 - Seismic Belt¶
Bought from the Trinket Bazaar in Ossex.
06 - Plasma Funnel¶
Bought from the Trinket Bazaar in Ossex.
07 - Deboning Wand¶
You can potentially find this Trinket right after you defeat Thorne near the beginning of the game. Once you do, go to the courtyard of manor in Ossex and head to the screen to the right, accessible by the line of hedges in the upper right. There, you will see a NPC standing right next to a very large pit, named Elizabeth. Speak to her and choose the “Nice skull” option, causing her to give you some Bones, but only if you agree to pay her back. She will ask for 1,000 Bones in return and you can do this anytime. Once you give her the Bones, you will receive this Trinket in return.
08 - Steady Soles¶
Found in Ossex. You will need at least one Kear on hand before you can get this Trinket. Go to the High Street section of Ossex and head to the northwest corner to see the Kear Lock. Unlock it and head one screen up, to where you find the NPC with a telescope. Continue left one screen here and there will be another NPC sitting on a bench. If you look closely, there are two holes you can burrow under along the railing. Go underneath the one on the right to fall into the chimney of a building. This maze-like area isn’t so bad to navigate, but the goal is to reach the stairs in the northwestern corner. Take the stairs to reach a balcony with the Trinket.
09 - Valor Medallion¶
Found in Ossex. This is the reward for helping Furl and Roma, two NPCs found in the High Street section of Ossex. Make sure you have a Kear available and head High Street to unlock the Kear Lock in the southeast corner. You should see an unnamed NPC to the north of that Kear Lock, who talks about his allergies. This is Furl and to get started, hit him with your weapon to reveal he has a long nose. You can push Furl around a little bit to move him into position, so make sure he’s facing left when you extend his nose again to the left of his starting position.
Use the nose as a bridge to cross over to the balcony section you see, which then leads to a rooftop with a flower pot. Burrow underground to pick it up, then drop down and head back to Furl. You’ll now need to guide him to the bottom right section, past the Kear Lock, positioning him so he is facing the NPC in the bottom left. When he’s there, throw the flower pot at him and his nose will extend, with the flower on it. This should cause the NPC, named Roma, to cross his nose, joining both of them together. Your reward will be the Trinket.
10 - Bell of Grace¶
Found in Ossex. Head to the Bowery area and enter the large opening at the top. There should be a NPC named Frayd here, so speak to him to have him comment about Bones. Exit and re-enter to see him gone, indicating that you can continue with the next step. Explore the town and at some point, you will likely get your Bones stolen from you by a NPC. This is Frayd, so attack him as much as you can until he stops. Speak to him afterwards and he will go back to the spot where you initially found him. Return there and Frayd will now ask for 1,000 Bones to fix him up. Give him the Bones and he will give you this Trinket.
