You will run across a lot of different NPCs in Mina the Hollower, some of which are more important than the others. Poppit is a peculiar merchant that is hiding and you’ll have to seek her out, if you wish to purchase their wares. There are three locations in which you’ll find Poppit, with two available fairly early in your adventure. This page will focus on where to find each of those locations, as well as what you can get from Poppit.
Poppit Location 1¶
The first location for Poppit that you will likely find be in Eastern Heath - Grassland. Go to the High Street area of Ossex and take the northeastern exit there. As soon as you can go south, do so and navigate your way to the bottom of the screen. There are two exits here, one southwest and another southeast. Go southeast and continue across the moving platform to the east. On the next screen is an Underlab and if you look closely in the bottom right corner, it seems that some pipes are there, shooting out some flames.
Head over to where they are to find a small hole that you can burrow under. Do so to arrive underground, with a chest that has a Bonestone Gem on the left side. That’s not why we’re here, though, as there is an exit in the bottom right. That is where you’ll find Poppit, and he will sell the Willow the Wisp Trinket, as well as a Kear.
Poppit Location 2¶
For the second location, you will be going to the Southern Outskirts, so leave Ossex to the south and go one screen lower, past the two guards. Take the first right here and fight your way past the laser-shooting troopers, to where you see one of those purple bounce pads floating over a pit. This will allow you to reach the Cave Network, or part of it, with a lot more bounce pads. Once inside, go left at first, until you reach a central platform that allows you to move around a bounce pad by burrowing underneath it.
You can ignore that for now, though, and go right at this crossroads. There will be a myriad of bounce pads over this way and all you have to do is go right all the way, then up to reach the other set of stairs you saw at the beginning. Back outside, go south and west, busting the breakable blocks here to gain access to another movable bounce pad. Shoot this one to the left, then destroy the blocks on the southern side. The bounce pad will fit here, allowing you to get to the upper ledge above. Make sure you activate the shortcut rope first to the left, as the enemies hit hard in this little section.

Of course, you don’t have to fight them, as your target is a hole by the second red bird enemy. Go through the hole and you will find Poppit inside the hidden room. He will sell you the Keri the Wisp Trinket, as well as another Kear.
Poppit Location 3¶
The third, and final, location for Poppit is in Western Wilds, and the starting point is the same southern exit of Ossex. Go south from the two guards stationed at the southern gate, then this time, you’re going left at the first split. Fight your way to the western exit here, then go west and north on the next screen. Keep heading north and you’ll arrive at Western Wilds - Occupied Bridge. North is where you need to go here, so keep moving until you reach the next screen with the Underlab.
Here, the northern path straight ahead is blocked, so you’ll have to go around to the left first. Be mindful of the lava here, but you’ll also need to use it to break the red crystals. Ignore the north path to the north and keep going left to the second one. Here, go north and follow the trail until you reach the red building, so go inside to the Molten Foundry. In this room, break the box in the northeast corner, then burrow into the hole. Follow the path via the grates on the floor to the door on the left side, along the northern end (just left of the furnace in the middle). If done correctly, you will go deeper into the area and find an Underlab.
Things get a little trickier here, as this place is dark. In the main area, there will be some magma in the middle, at the top. Make a path for it to the left, through a small hole in the wall and into a spot with some pitfalls. Destroy all of the red gems here with the magma (be mindful of the red flash), then go through the opening to the north to find Poppit. He will sell the Helio the Wisp Trinket here, as well as another Kear.
Traumatized Trophy and Achievement¶
Note that you don’t have to actually purchase the items that Poppit is selling to trigger this trophy/achievement. All you have to do is visit him at all three locations and talk to him at least once at the spots. Once you do this, the third time will have an event occur, where you’re taken somewhere else. Speak to Poppit at this area and answer whatever you want both times, then another event will occur. After this has ended, you will unlock the trophy/achievement.
To exit this area, there will be holes on the right side, which will lead to the three spots where you found Poppit. In a way, this sort of acts like a limited fast travel feature, although it’s mostly the beginning areas.
