Queensbury Crypt - Old Graveyard

Queensbury Crypt is the first major dungeon of the game, but this isn’t the actual dungeon just yet. When you first arrive, just go right and watch out for the cracked tiles, as they break away from underneath you. The first screen here will have a few enemies, but not much else, so keep going to the second screen. The way forward here is blocked by some bars, and the button for it is in the top-right corner. The enemies here will just rush straight at you, so either burrow or jump to avoid them, if they are about to hit you. Once you hit the button, you can move onto the next screen.

(1 of 4) This NPC may seem unimportant, but it’s actually a small sidequest for this area.

At the top of the screen, you will see a NPC digging, so talk to them to find out they’ve been doing nothing but digging. While the game doesn’t outright say it, this is a small sidequest for this small area. You need to dig up all of the dirty piles here, starting with the two next to Mrs. Sodsby. They’re all on this screen, so the piles are hard to miss. You will have to contend with those enemies that rush towards you, so be mindful of them. When you get to the big rows of gravestones, head to the very bottom left corner to see the ground sparkling; burrow there to dig up a Bonestone Gem. And in the bottom right corner is a gravestone you can destroy.

This leads to a small area with an enemy that appears when you get close to the middle. Keep hitting this creature to have it release Bones, but after enough time has passed, it will explode and disappear. Back in the previous area, make your way to the top-right corner to find bars blocking you from leaving. To the left of them, across a small gap, will be a button that lowers them. Lower the rope and if you see Sodsby dancing, drop down and go speak with her to get a Kear for digging up all of the graves. With that Kear in hand, return to the top right corner, but ignore the exit there.

You can go behind the large fence here, at the top, so follow it to another exit in the top left corner. Unlock the Kear Lock here and collect the goodies you see, then burrow underneath the center of the crypt to find a hidden room with the Desperation Bonnet Trinket inside. Backtrack all the way to the exit you opened earlier and go north now. The enemy you see ahead can be a little more of a handful than the others, but defeat it and jump to the southwest corner. The sparkle you see here can be dug up to reveal a Bonestone Gem. Continue north, all the way until you reach the next screen.

(1 of 5) Towards the right side, you can go behind the long fence here for a secret area.

You’re at the entrance to the actual dungeon now, but you don’t want to go in yet. Speak to the NPC here, then head over to the right side. You can burrow jump over to the thin ledge here, so do that and go right to arrive at a small area with some moving platform. Grab the Bonestone Gem from the bottom right, then make your way to the open vent at the top of the screen. This will take you to Eastern Heath - Grassland, where you can lower some ropes as a big shortcut. However, go to the middle path with the spinning gear and get to the far right.

Do a big burrow jump to the right, where it looks like you might fall into the pit, but you’ll end up in a new screen. Go south to unlock a new Sidearm, the Drill Driver. You can now return to the entrance to Queensbury Crypt and head inside.
