Furia Puzzle - Unquenchable Fury
Well-Deserved Rest Buff - Bath Effects
There are many issues that divide RPG fans: CRPGs vs JRPGs, turn-based vs action, one franchise vs another, heck, even different entries in the same franchise can divide fans! One of the most fundamental divides, however, is between the righteous and cultured folks (like yours truly) who spends undue time creating their preferred avatar during character creation, and the heathens who end up ignoring all these lovely options and picking the blandest male fighter they can. Alas, we seem to be on the losing side of this conflict, but there are occasional flickers of hope - Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader may not have the most robust character creation suite in gaming, but there’s enough on offer here to justify the inclusion of the ability to alter your character’s appearance. This page will cover how to change your appearance in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

How to Change Your Appearance¶
After you complete the prologue you’ll be on the bridge of your Voidship, you can exit to the west to reach the Lord Captain’s Quarters. This location is used for various cutscenes - especially meetings between companions - but more enduring functionality has been patched in over time, including your Vault and your bath. One of these new features includes a mirror in your bedroom, which you can interact with (via the “Change appearance” prompt).
This feature is what it says on the tin - interact with the mirror and you’ll be taken to the character creation screen, just like when you started the game. Here you can alter numerous aspects of your character’s appearance, including their portrait, general appearance options (face, body, skin tone, etc), their hair, tattoos, augmentations and even their voice. There is no cost to this, and it’s a great tool for regretful gamers who fuss over trivial details (like a certain guide author). Even if you’re not inclined to worry about such things, being able to change your character’s appearance in response to story developments is always a fun option to have!
Note that you cannot change the appearance of any of your companions. This feature seems to be restricted to the Rogue Trader only. This does not allow you to change your stats, class, origin or anything else - it’s purely cosmetic.
