With the addition of the Void Shadows DLC, the Rogue Trader’s voidship has become a much more interesting place. There are new locations to explore, new ammenities to avail yourself of and new items to find. One of these new items can be found on the Voidship "Shrine" iconShrine, but only for those with the capacity to solve the puzzle that seals it away! This page will cover how to solve the Furia puzzle in the Voidship Shrine and obtain the weapon Unquenchable Fury in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

Page Breakdown

Examine a reliquary along the northern edge of the Voidship Shrine to spot a button - pressing it will make this puzzle actionable.

Starting the Furia Puzzle

You can begin the hunt for this weapon shortly after starting the game - complete the prologue and when you’ve free reign of your voidship, exit the Voidship Bridge to the north to get a list of destinations you can travel to. Set your sights on the Voidship Shrine, and when you arrive search a reliquary along the northern edge of the shrine, between the two exit doors, which reads:

A power maul rests inside the glass. The inscription on the reliquary reads, “I am wrath. I am the cleansing. Whosoever wields me walks in the footsteps of FURIA.”

Neat. Examining this should cause a button to appear on the side of the reliquary. Press it and some pressure plates near other reliquaries throughout the shrine will rise up, allowing you to depress them again by standing on them. There are five such pressure plates throughout the shrine and you need to have five party members stand on them in a specific order. So while this puzzle can be started as soon as you have control of the voidship, you need to recruit a fifth party member to actually complete it.

Place characters on pressure plates to spell out FURIA - this map shows the locations and order of these pressure plates.

Solving the Furia Puzzle

Once that bit of business has been sorted, let’s solve this puzzle! There are multiple reliquaries in the Voidship Shrine, and in front of them are pressure plates with letters carved into them. Granted it’s fancy “gothic” script, but they should still be readable enough. Their locations are as follows (use your in-game map for reference, or check out the provided map):

  • F: Center-west
  • U: Northeast
  • R: Northwest
  • I: Center-east
  • A: South

(1 of 3) Move characters onto the plates F-U-R-I-A,

As you can see, this spells out FURIA if you stand on them in a certain order, a name mentioned on the power maul’s reliquary. Send characters one at a time to stand on them in order, F-U-R-I-A, and when you stand on the right pressure plate in the right order, a red light near the reliquary will turn green. You’ll get a little scene the first time this happens, but subsequent pressure plates won’t be so overt. If you move a character onto the wrong plate in the wrong order, the puzzle will reset and you’ll have to move everybody off and start over.

Once you depress the plates in order, you’ll get a scene with the northern reliquary and the power maul will be yours to take. Send somebody up to grab it and you’ll obtain Unquenchable Fury, a rather low damage (8-9) one-handed melee weapon that will knock enemies back up to five tiles when it strikes, dealing extra damage if they collide with anything. Not an amazing weapon, in most cases, but a fine starter weapon that’ll see "Abelard" iconAbelard (or other Warriors) through Act 1 well enough.
