Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Earning Headquarters Funds

By
Jarrod Garripoli

During the course of the main story in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you will unlock your Headquarters. This is where you will be building up your castle and army to confront the Empire. One of the things you can do here is construct new facilities and improve them, through the use of blueprints. There are usually a few requirements to make blueprints, such as having a specific Population level, having a number of resources, as well as the Funds and even recruiting a specific character. One thing you might always be lacking is Headquarters Funds, so this page will list how to get more of these.

You will need a lot of funds to build your Headquarters.

Increasing Headquarters Funds

When you first unlock your Headquarters, you won’t have a lot of Funds in which to really start building up your base. At the start, you don’t really have much in the way of options to acquire more HQ Funds, though. As you explore the game’s world and simply do other things, your Funds will increase on their own. It’s not really clear as to the rate at which your Funds increase, since it’s likely tied to your Population and HQ Level. So, the more you increase your HQ, the more Funds that will come pouring into your base.

Selling Materials

Another way to increase your Funds is via selling the materials you have been gathering throughout your journey. On the first floor of your castle, on the left side of the big room, you will find two NPCs, Sumire and Caine. The former is your storage, where you can stick in unwanted items from your inventory, as you only have so much space. Caine is the NPC that is pertinent to this page, though, as he will allow you to sell the materials you’ve gathered for Funds.

At first glance, many of the materials will only give you around five HQ Funds, but that will be for each one. So, if you know where to get them, you can hunt down the materials for the sole purpose of selling them to Caine. One material you may have gotten some of is Iron Ore, which is worth a whopping 100 HQ Funds each. If you head to the Abandoned Mine, you can find more of that there, with the entrance accessible from a well inside your castle.

A spiritual successor to the Suikoden series, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a classic JRPG that gives you the opportunity to recruit over 100 characters throughout your journey. Nowa, a boy from a small village, travels to the city to become a member of the Watch, only to be suckered into a plot to stop an empire from utilizing Rune-Lenses to expand their power and reach.
