Namir can be frightening, or a push over, it all depends what toys you’ve got on you, and if you were silly enough to get the new biochip installed.

His primary attacks are to unleash a volley of grenades and also to blast you away with his quite ridiculous plasma cannon, even with fully upgraded armour a few hits from this will render you unconscious.

Namir will also cloak and jump over the partitions at will, making him unpredictable as well as powerful.

You will have much higher manoeuvrability during this fight if you have the jump augmentation, as it will allow you to hurdle all the partitioning walls.

Oh and as with Yelena, don’t try and perform a takedown on Namir, it will only result in death.

If you need ammo or weapons:

All of the freaky augmented mannequins (someone was bored) around the centre and middle walls are stood on top of drawers that contain all sorts of goddies. Nothing game winning, not this boss anyway, but good nonetheless.

Taking him out

Namir is a annoying, for many reasons, but we’re going to do our best to destroy him.

Open the fight by throwing any sort of mine or grenade at him and moving left. EMP grenades don’t do a lot to Namir, so Frag is the preferred explosive. If you land one on him, run in and unload whatever weapon you have into his face.

If you’re fortunate enough to have more than one explosive then two goes at him in this manner is normally enough to see Namir off, otherwise this is going to get arduous.

The hardest thing concerning Namir is that there aren’t any truly effective tools in the cupboards, plenty of ammo (and a sotgun, heavy machine gun, and combat rifle lying around) but the rest of the fight will decend into potshots.

Watch your radar and for shadows, moving around the outside of the arena clockwise and stopping at each corner aiming down the length, waiting for a glimmer on the radar.

When aiming, keep moving right to left quite a bit, as those plasma shots will really sting so we don’t want a lucky volley hitting us. When you know Namir’s location pop off a few scant shots and then run away.

A long process maybe but one that will yield results given time.
