Metaphor: ReFantazio Royal Knight

The Royal Knight is one of the Royal Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio. It is the ultimate form of the Knight Lineage and defends its allies nobly. It is also capable of performing well in both attack and defense stances. As such, it is strong against Slash and Light damage, while having a particular vulnerability to Electric.

The Royal Knight is a part of the Knight Lineage and its final, ultimate form. The Royal Warrior Archetype is a hard class to master due to its lack of damage output. Although it can be used well as a bulwark class.

How to unlock the Royal Knight¶

The Royal Knight is unlocked once you reach Rank 8 with Hukenberg’s bond. This occurs on the Gauntlet Runner after Virga Island during your free days. You will need Wisdom rank 4 and 30,000 MAG.

As with all classes, you will also need to have ranked the Paladin to rank 20, the Dark Knight to rank 15, and the Elemental Master to rank 15.

Royal Knight Skills¶

The Royal Knight has access to the following skills:

• Holy Knight’s Proclamation - Guards, drawing enemy attention and taking attacks for allies for 1 turn. (Certain attacks defy this effect.) (8 MP)
• Instant Recovery - [Passive] Ensures status ailments are automatically cured in 1 turn.
• Thunderstrike Thrust - Deals medium physical Electric damage to one enemy. Lowers their Defence for 3 turns. (28 MP)
• Mad Rush - Deals medium physical Electric damage to one enemy. Lowers their Defence for 3 turns. (22 MP)
• Omni-Guard - Raises a barrier that nullifies one non-Almighty attack for one ally. (40 MP)
• Pierce Surge - [Passive] Increases Pierce Attack by 30%.
• Omni-Counter - [Passive] Has a 15% chance of repelling non-Almighty damage.
• Noble Knight’s Soul - [Passive] Adds one Turn Icon the turn after a Proclamation skill is used. (Does not apply if caster is incapacitated.)

Royal Knight Synthesis Skills¶

The Royal Knight has access to these Synthesis Skills too:

• Ultimate Guard - Raises a barrier that nullifies one non-Almighty attack for all allies. (100 MP) [Allies needed: Knight, Healer, or Commander Lineages]
• Peerless Sanctity - Deals severe physical Light damage to all enemies. Decreases their Attack/Defence/Hit/Evasion for 3 turns. (25 MP) [First Ally: Seeker, Knight, or Commander Lineages & Second Ally: Knight, Healer, or Commander Lineages]
• Peerless Shadow - Deals severe physical Dark damage to all enemies. Decreases their Attack/Defence/Hit/Evasion for 3 turns. (25 MP) [First Ally: Warrior, Thief, or Masked Dancer Lineage & Second Ally: Knight, Healer, or Commander Lineage]
