There are a lot of Metroidvania elements in Blades of Fire from the Runes to the Bells. As you progress through the game, you will come across ominous doors with purple leaves in front of them. To the side of these doors is a pilgrim statue that requires one of the Bronze, Silver, or "Golden Bell" iconGolden Bells to gain access to the area they’re blocking. Read on to find out where to find the "Bronze Bell" iconBronze Bell, "Silver Bell" iconSilver Bell, and Golden Bell.

Throughout the game, you’ll find doors like this. These doors require you to place a Bell corresponding to the same type.

Pilgrims and Bells

The doors that require the Bells are shown on the map as Pilgrims. There are bronze, silver, and golden pilgrim that each require a bell matching their type. When you use a Bell on that Pilgrim, you will lose the Bell as it’s a one-time use.

However, you can go back to the location where you originally got the Bell and pick it up again. Once the Bell has no further uses, you won’t be able to pick it up again, signifying that you’ve been to every location requiring one.

Bronze Bell Location

The first time you’ll encounter the Bronze Bell is during the story in "Winter's Wall" iconWinter’s Wall, The Niveous Realm (Chapter 3). Upon touching the Pilgrim, you’ll be transported to the West Tower Cells in the "King's Bastion" iconKing’s Bastion.

This is important as this is where you’ll find the Golden Bell, however, you won’t get the Bronze Bell from this location after the story segment. From now on, the Bronze Bell is located on the Pilgrim statue in Dryad’s Forest West.

From the Entrance to The Forest Anvil, go south toward the bridge leading to "The Dryads Forest Core" iconThe Dryads Forest Core, but instead of going across it, go up the path to the west, which will eventually lead to it.

(1 of 2) Go up the slope west of the bridge, where you first encounter the Bronze Bell.

Silver Bell Location

The Silver Bell is located in The "Dryads" iconDryads Forest Core near the Riverbank Anvil. Teleport to the Anvil, and if you look to the south, you should notice a waterfall at the back.

The Pilgrim statue containing the Silver Bell can be found to the left of the waterfall, and to get there, simply head south and then west a little. Note that Dryads will spawn and attack you as you approach the statue.

Golden Bell Location

Teleport to the West Tower Cells Anvil in the King’s Bastion (you’ll come here for the story) and exit the cell. Opposite the Anvil to the southeast is another cell that contains the Pilgrim Statue holding the Golden Bell.

This is locked at first, and you’ll need the "Acolyte Key" iconAcolyte Key to unlock it. You can acquire this from the enemies on the floor above, but you’ll need to exit the Cell Area briefly by taking the western doorway out on the upper floor.

From there, go across the slope above the cave and head south, where you’ll find a ladder that requires Adso to drop it for you. Go up and you’ll find a group of enemies, one of which has the Acolyte Key. From now on, the door will stay open and the Golden Bell will respawn here until you no longer need it.

(1 of 3) Go out the western door on the upper floor and go around the slope.

That’s it for the Bell Locations. Each Bell has one or two locations where you can use it. These areas generally yield various loot, such as Life Gems, "Stamina Gem" iconStamina Gems, Seneschals, or other goodies.
