There are many optional secrets and hidden areas to find in Blades of Fire and if you’re looking to achieve the game’s secret ending, you’re going to have to complete most of them. One of the more confusing puzzles in Aceides’ Domain is that of the blue flames in Forger’s Sanctum once you return with the Light Rune. Keep reading to learn how to get the blue flame to the lift on the southern exit and what you will find there.

You’ll need to find a way to get a Blue Flame here in Forger’s Sanctum if you want to reach the tower in the center.

Activating the Southern Lift

Once you reach Tok’s Kingdom and gain access to the Light Rune, you may remember that there were several areas that required it the Forger’s Sanctum in "Kar-Lethel Swamp" iconKar-Lethel Swamp. With the Light Rune in hand, you can now visit both the western and eastern side of the sanctum once more and gain access to levers that will lower the water level of the Sanctum. Most importantly, however, is the switch found by going to the eastern path and descending to where some elementals are waiting for you and a lift to take you back up. When you use this switch, you’ll notice a new lift over at the southern exit, the one you’re looking for.

Getting the Blue Flame to the Southern Lift

Try as you might, there’s no way to get any of the Blue Flames in the sanctum itself over to the southern lift, there’s not enough time to get the new eastern flame back to the center and if you remove the one you’re using for the bridges at the anvil, you have no way of reaching the southern lift in the first place.

Cast your mind back a little though and you’ll remember you were using some Blue Flames back on the Coastal Wall when looking for "Vhoroo" iconVhoroo as part of the story. By now, the Blue Flame is probably resting on the lift that takes you down to the far southern beach, so head all the way back down there and run it back to where you first got it, over on the eastern side of the wall.

(1 of 4) Grab the Blue Flame at the bottom of Coastal Wall.

Once there, you can then run the Blue Flame back to the shortcut leading back towards Forger’s Sanctum and insert it to create a bridge just south of the exit. This leads to a Sacred Templar that holds a "Stamina Gem" iconStamina Gem and a chest containing a Life Gem, make sure you pocket both of these before grabbing the Blue Flame once more. If you run around to the western side of the exterior of the sanctum, you’ll notice a small ledge you can climb to get back inside, do so and ride the southern lift down, you should have just enough time to insert it and create a new bridge.

Forger’s Sanctum Puzzle Rewards

Completing this puzzle will lead you to another Nerea Statue.

Beyond the Gems that you should have collected a moment ago, this new bridge creates a bridge over to the central tower where you can find yet another Nerea Statue. As always, you’ll need to track down two Blue Gems/"Nerea's Tears" iconNerea’s Tears to get your next "Fragmented Tablet" iconFragmented Tablet piece but that’s another one to knock off your list. If you’re on the path to unlocking the secret ending, you’re going to need to make sure you complete all of the Nerea Statues!
