The Performance of a Lifetime is one of the earliest Good Deeds players can find in Hell is Us. Players can start his in Jova when they reach the Acasa Marshes, and will require them finding items as they explore two maps. Here’s how to complete the Performance of a Lifetime Good Deed.
Performance of a Lifetime Walkthrough¶
To start the performance of a lifetime, you will need to find either:
- Sheet Music - Our Pride
- Sheet Music - Losilus Dreaming
Picking either one up start the deed. From there, you need to return these to to the Fearful Fiddler, who is sat behind Captain Vaas in Jova along the truck in the center of the village.
To get your hands on these you can find them in the following locations:

| Our Pride | Inside Jova Village. Go towards the cafe on the more elevated part of town. The item pickup is by the Piano. |
| Losilus Dreaming | Unlock Vyssa Hills by completing the early phase of the Blacksmith of Jova investigation. When you’re there, go towards the snake head you can see by the main road, and then follow it along the rolling hill edge. You should find a corpse with the sheet in the brief case. |
When you have a sheet, simply return to the Fearful Fiddler so he can learn a new song. Bring both to him and you can complete the Good Deed

Now it’s important to note that this can be failed if you don’t do it in time.
Do not complete the Lymbic Forge quest that ends Act 1. if you do so and have not returned the items in time, the world state of Acasa Marshes change.
If you do not bring him the two sheets before act 2 begins, you will find the Fearful Fiddler killed. Captain Vaas kills him as he has had enough of his music.
On the other hand, if you bring him both sheets before completing the Lymbic Forge in Lake Cynon, you will get the reward and he survives. He will eventually leave Jova, and join the survivors at Lake Cynon as part of the achievement.
You can also return to the Vigil Elder in Watcher’s Nest and get a reward. We are not sure which reward you get as we did this alongside other Good Deeds early on. So you get a spam of rewards when you unlock the good deed reward feature. It’s either a glyph or a consumable weapon XP item.
Note that Good Deed rewards unlock as a feature when you complete the Watcher’s Nest puzzle, which is part way through the Vyssa Hills. Make sure to read our puzzle guide to unlock the feature!
