Never Worn
Separated is one of the Good Deeds in the Telju region of Hell is Us. While most Good Deeds are all about finding and delivering stuff. This one is more combat focused. Honestly, it’s perhaps one of the hardest sequences of combat in the game. So, this guide will help you with dealing with the hard combat.
Separated Walkthrough¶
You will be able to start the Separated by speaking to both NPCs in the region. One of them is on the rooftops of the Chapel, while the other one is located near the tomb area, accessible via the Archeological Field site and coming back round through the tunnels. Emerge from the tunnels, and then look to the right of the exit to find the sister hiding. Now, to assist her, you need to gradually take out the area ahead of her.

This area is extremely difficult to do properly. There’s a Terror creature here, alongside several other Hollow Walkers connected to it. One of the more tanky enemies, there’s a few more normal ones, and there is a few ranged enemies too. Also, there’s a Grief ranged enemy further down the road on the left side as you exit the Tomb area. So that’s one that can easily aggro and catch you by surprise. To beat this, there’s a few recommendations we have for you:
- Use the Aster’s Band of Domination, which you should have from the Lake Cynon Lymbic Forge boss at the end of the Sluice area. - This is a 10 second stun on all enemies in a 10m range. This can stun the Hollow Walkers when they swarm you, alongside the tank and the Terror Lymbic Cord enemy.
- Use the Drone Module - Distract on the ranged enemy.
- Glyph - Fury is another good Rage option as charging this will do a lot of cleave damage, since many enemies are linked here via the Terror Cord entity.
- Glyph - Shriek of Terror - This is a charge attack that does damage in a line. It’s the same skill the Terror lymbic cord entity uses against you. You can get the enhanced version from Lethe - National Library by following the Ecstasy storyline. When charged it can do a lot of damage. Kite the enemies down to the grief line and let them funnel through the entrance for maximum effect.
- Glyph Overwhelm - a chargeable AOE stun if you use a Grief weapon.
- Glyph Eager Embrace - An ecstasy dash that also has a long stun. Easy to escape combat in certain situation or dash to an target prio enemy and kill them, like the ranged enemies.
- Knell of Fading Terror - This is an active relic that players can get from the The Depths of Hell good deed in Marastan. It’s a relic that banishes terror lymbic entities temporarily. This gives you a good window to ignore the Lymbic cord creature and simply beat down the Hollow Walkers and trivialize the fight (to a degree).
These tips wont guarantee a win, but they do make the enemies much more manageable. Simply learn what attacks to dodge from the tank’s CC, the Terror’s big abilities, and of course don’t get swarmed or hit with ranged attacks. Take your time, dodge when necessary, and use your Own CC effects as well as you can.
Second Fight¶
Once you’ve defeated the outer tomb area, you now need to make you way up the hill towards the Sword Tomb, marked with the icon. To get to this area, you will need to beat a ranged enemy stood on the scaffolding. There’s two ways to beat this enemy.
- The first is to kill it with a ranged attack. Something like Pain Spike, Lymbic Slivers, Shriek of Terror can kill it with a near full Lymbic Power bar on our weapon.
- However, you may need to kill it in ranged. To do so, you will need the Crane Key, which you get from the blockade, below where you find the Brother.
- Use the Crane Key on the crane to lower the platform, this should allow you access to the next level. Here, you can run around and deal with the enemies guarding the next main story puzzle.
- You can run around to then reach the rear ladder to reach the ranged enemy and fight the enemy on the platform.
Killing that enemy will then complete the quest. The sister will now be able to run towards the chapel, and the brother can climb down the chapel and escape.
Reward¶
With the Separated Good Deed complete you can now return the Vyssa and speak to the Vigil Elder. You will receive the Glyph - Overwhelm - Enhanced for your troubles. It’s one of our favorite Grief glyphs due to its incredibly useful AOE stun charge.
This concludes all you need to know about the Separated good deed. If you need more help, we have an all Good Deeds page, and there’s another good deed in this area called Never Worn.
