The 
Enlightenment is one of the harder mysteries to solve in Hell is Us. This mission requires players to complete several different stages of the area to complete this. Naturally, looking for a guide is a pretty good idea, considering all the effort that is put into it. Here’s a walk through for the Enlightenment mystery and how to unlock each step.

Enlightenment Mystery Walkthrough¶
Okay, to complete this task, you have a few things you need to do.
- Firstly, you need to collect an item to keep track of a few things first:
- Go to the northern exit of Jova, and collect the
Notebook - Symbol Research from the corpse along the wooden pathway near the town and the 
Observation Outpost 08. - Equipping that gives you some clues as to the shapes you need to interact with.
Now, when you find these shapes and their associated turning strokes, you need to point them to the side they are on the notebook. The notebook correlates with the door that you can find under the well in the center of Jova.
From here, you need to find the missing keystones to turn. You can find them in the following locations:

| Southwest Obelisk | Go directly south from Jova and find the underground section of the large Obelisk. It’s where you complete the Waylaid Good Deed for the ON Soldiers. | Activate the left one |
| Jova Underground | Follow the ladders from the Drunk Man’s house near the gas station of Jova, which you visit for the Love Thy Neighbor deed. It takes you to the level the sconces are at. | Activate the left sconce. |
| Training Room | There’s a puzzle around the middle east section of the map near the military camp on the hill facing Jova, near the Hermit’s home. Solve the Martial Lineage puzzle (you should have got a clue for it from a note after completing the Vitalis basement puzzle) and enter the training room. | Turn the left sconce. |
| Pathem Abbey | To access this location, you need to complete the Lymbic Forge area and unlock Act 2. Now return to Acasa Marshes and try to access the Pathem Abbey underground tunnel to the left of the main entrance where the tank is. Enter the area and look for it near where the Abbot is. | Activate the right sconce |
| Observation outpost 08 | To get access to this, you need to get any of the Keystones. Once you get any of them (rage, terror or ecstasy), you should get a cutscene with your aid. She tells you about the APC Safe Keys, which you can use to unlock the Observation Outpost. Unlock that camo north of Jova and go to the cave at the back of the base. You can find them in the runnel to three right of the Vault. | Activated both of them. |
Rewards¶

With all of them activated, you should detect a rumbling. Return to Jova and go down the ladder in the well. The door should be next to that ladder. Approaching where the door once stood should give you the Enlightenment mystery solved pop-up. Enter the room to grab your rewards.
There are three items in that room you can get:
