Shadow-Cursed Lands - Baldur's Gate 3 Database

The Gauntlet of Shar, located in Act 2, offers a mix of puzzles and tantalizing loot. Players between levels 6-7 will find it an aptly challenging area. This location is pivotal for Shadowheart’s personal questlines.

To access the Gauntlet of Shar, follow these steps:

Location: Begin in the Reithwin Graveyard, inside the Grand Mausoleum.

Discover the Pathway:
a. Be wary of traps on the vents and tiles, and gargoyle heads on the walls. These will be revealed with successful Perception checks.
b. There are three paintings with buttons beneath them. To reveal the secret passage, press them in this sequence:
i. Moonrise Towers (X:-248 Y:-848)
ii. Grief (X:-278 Y:-842)
iii. Ketheric Thorm’s (X:-280 Y:-830)
c. The wall next to the last painting will slide open. Inside, you’ll discover a platform with a Traversal Gem.

Enter the Gauntlet: Interact with the Traversal Gem to descend into the Gauntlet of Shar.

Head to the west of the Shadow-Cursed Lands until you reach Reithwin Town, the Mason’s Guild can be found to the northeast of this area (close to the northeast bridge back toward Last Light Inn).

A mysterious location within Baldur’s Gate 3’s Moonrise Towers. You can access it via the pit in the Prison.

• Interact with the Cracked Wall at coordinates (X: -125, Y: -178) within Moonrise Towers. If the “Reach In” option fails during the check, choose the “Submit. Become.” option.
• Jump into the red pit located in the southern part of Moonrise Towers Prison at coordinates (X: 580, Y: -690).
• Jump into the green hole inside one of the prison cells at coordinates (X: 579, Y: -615).

Moonrise Towers Prison

• Within the location, there’s a Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen located on a body at coordinates (X: 628, Y: -92). However, it’s essential to note a possible bug: if a decision with Dark Justicar is made under specific conditions, the corpse might not appear. It’s advisable to retrieve the specimen beforehand.
• The other side of this area, leading to the Mind Flayer Colony, becomes accessible only after defeating Ketheric on top of Moonrise Towers.

Reithwin Tollhouse is located in the southeastern part of Reithwin Town, directly south of the Mason’s Guild. This area is the first you encounter upon arriving in Reithwin Town and can be accessed from the southwestern corner of the Ruined Battlefield. Upon crossing the bridge and passing through the arch, you’ll reach the northern entrance of the tollhouse.
