Colonist Bunker (Anita's Garden) Location
Colonist Bunker (Salvage) Location
One of the more distant Colonist Bunkers in the first biome, note that “distant” in this case does not really mean difficult to reach. The Colonist Bunker (Sophie’s Retreat) is in a cave near the Old Habitat, likely the last story location you’ll explore before running out of things to do in the first biome. This page will provide directions for reach the Colonist Bunker (Sophie’s Retreat) and cover the look you’ll find inside in Subnautica 2!

Colonist Bunker (Sophie’s Retreat) Location¶
To find this bunker, you’ll first need to find the Old Habitat, which is a story-significant objective you’ll be directed to after exploring Camp One. The Old Habitat is around 400 meters to the north of the Lifepod, and since it’s only 40-50 meters under the surface of the water, it should be easy to spot even if you don’t dive too deep - it consists of two hab structures connected by a corridor, and there’s a lot of scans in and around these ruins.
More on topic, however, just south of the Old Habitat you’ll find a current that flows towards the aforementioned ruins. To the right (east, northeast) of the end of this current is a cave - if you find the “Welcome Home” sign, you’re pretty much right in front of this cave. Swim inside and look for a side passage to the left (north) a short distance inside. Swim down this side passage until the floor falls away below you. Descend into the trench to a depth of just over 60 meters and turn around (south) to find the entry hatch to this bunker.
Colonist Bunker (Sophie’s Retreat) Contents¶
To the right of the entry hatch you’ll find some crates, one of which contains the ”PATIENT CHART: Boucher, S.” data download, along with the bunker’s Biobed. Interact with the Biobed to gain more inventory slots - a welcome upgrade!
You can also scan a Floor Locker along the wall opposite the entry hatch, a Trashcan next to the floor locker, a Lab Chair in front of a counter, a Flashlight on the floor nearby and a Single Bed in the northeastern corner of the bunker. Search the aforementioned counter and you’ll be able to pick up the ”Jubilee using old sleep bay” data download. Not going to lie, a lot of the scans are more cosmetic than useful, but we’re really here for that lovely inventory space upgrade, anyways.
Oh, and there’s a Just Keep Swimming Poster on the wall to the right of the entry hatch. If you just need a swimming cat to adorn your base.
