How To Create a Prison Room

By
Shane Williams

This page covers everything related to creating a Prison Room in V Rising, such as requirements and benefits.

You can learn the Prison Room Flooring at the Athenaeum.

What Do You Need To Create a Prison Room in V Rising

In V Rising you can build different types of rooms which are dedicated to certain types of equipment and along with it comes certain types of bonuses, such as the amount of blood taken from humans in a Prison Cellis reduced when placed in a Prison Room.

How To Unlock Prison Cells in V Rising

You’ll need to unlock Prison Cells for your Prison Room which can be done by defeating the Level 40 V Blood Boss, Vincent the Frostbringer. You can also track his blood by using the Blood Altar and it’ll lead to the lower portion of Duneley Farmlands. Upon defeating Vincent you’ll want to open up your Build Menu by pressing B-Key, then choose the Dominance Tab and build the Prison Cell which costs 12 Iron Ingots.

How To Unlock Prison Flooring in V Rising

In order to learn the Prison Flooring you’ll need to unlock and build the Athenaeum which is done by defeating Raziel the Shepherd who is a Level 60 V Blood Boss, so make sure your Gear Level is at least 50-55. You can track his blood via the Blood Altar, then you’ll be led to Duneley Monastery in Dunley Farmlands. However, this area will place the Holy Radiation Debuff on you so you’ll need to make sure you have crafted a Holy Resistance Potion via the Alchemy Table.

How To Craft The Athenaeum in V Rising

After you’ve defeated Raziel the Shepherd and acquired the recipe for the Athenaeum, return to your Castle and build it. Unfortunately, it’s a pretty expensive recipe, as you need 40 Scrolls, 12 Scourgestones and 8 Reinforced Planks.

Where To Find Scrolls in V Rising

Scrolls can be found as drops from enemies or by smashing crates/barrels and they seem to have a slightly higher drop rate around Dunley Farmlands. You can also make your own by building a Paper Press which is unlocked by discovering a recipe from the Study. The Study is unlocked by defeating the Level 47 V Blood boss, Nicholaus the Fallen. Build the Study which requires 12 Wooden Planks and 12 Copper Ingots, then you’ll need to discover the recipe for the Paper Press which can be done by finding a book out in the world or by using 50 Paper.

Where To Find Scourgestones in V Rising

Scourgestones are both a rare drop and really expensive to craft yourself, so it’ll take a good chunk of time before you get your hands on the 12 you need for the Athenaeum. If you wish to farm the stones, then Church of the Damned in Dunely Farmlands is your best bet, as the enemies have a good chance to drop them. If you want more in-depth information on how to craft/find Scourgestones, then take a look at our Where to Get Scourgestones.

(1 of 2) Change the Flooring to Prison Flooring

Change the Flooring to Prison Flooring (left), and you’ll be given the bonuses shown at the top (right)

How To Craft Reinforced Planks in V Rising

Reinforced Planks can be crafted via the Sawmill, but you’ll need to get your hands on the Recipe for Reinforced Planks which is done by defeating the Level 40 V Blood Boss, Vincent the Frostbringer. You can also track his blood by using the Blood Altar and it’ll lead to the lower portion of Duneley Farmlands. After you’ve acquired the recipe you’ll need to place 4 Iron Ingots and 4 Planks into the Sawmill. If you like in-depth information on how to get Iron Ingots, then take a look at our Where to Get Iron Ore page.

Once you’re in possession of the Athenaeum you’ll need to find the Prison Flooring Flooring Book out in the world or hope you can discover it by using 100 Schematics.

What Are The Prison Room Bonuses in V Rising

Having a Prison Room in your Castle in V Rising will allow you to drain less blood from the prisoner placed in a Prison Cell, so you’ll be able to extract from the same prisoner multiple times before they die. However, if you have any leftover Fish, then you can feed the Prisoner to restore their health to 100%. If you would like more details on fishing in V Rising, then take a look at our How To Fish page.
