How to Get Mechanical Gears in Nightingale

By
Craig Robinson

Mechanical Gears in Nightingale are a much-needed craft for a lot of crafting benches. When you start producing your Refined crafting stations you’ll start to improve workbenches, sawmills, and other content as you progress through the game to gain new recipes, allowing you to improve efficiency, item level, and Gear Score. If you’re at the mid-game stage where you need to upgrade your crafts, here’s everything you need to know about Mechanical Gears in Nightingale, a material that will help fulfill those dreams.

Players will need to create the Brazier to unlock the recipe to create Mechanical Gears in Nightingale.

How to Make Mechanical Gears in Nightingale

For the most part, you will largely be crafting Mechanical Gears yourself. To do so, you will need to have unlocked the Brazier, which can be purchased from the Provisioner Realm Essence Traders by spending T1 Essence on the recipe.

When you have the Brazier, you must build it, which requires 6 Ingots and 3 Shafts. You can make Ingots at the Simple Smelter. You’ll need six for the base craft, and then a few more Ingots to create the Shaft from the Simple Smelter too.

Once your Brazier is set up, you can create many new specific metal parts for crafting stations, guns, and other crafts as you progress. You can find Mechanical Gears in the list of recipes on the Brazier. Convert your Metal Ingots into Mechanical Gears and you will be able to finish the production of recipes requiring the item.

Where to Get Mechanical Gears in Nightingale

While out in the world, you can find Mechanical Gears in Nightingale by visiting landmarks in your realms. If you happen to find Refined Saw Tables or other production tables that use Mechanical Gears, then you can smash them apart and get some base materials from them. It’s one way to top up your crafting materials. You can also randomly find these sorts of parts at the Provisioner Landmarks, since Provisioner maps are all about the industrial revolution theme, often containing parts, oils, and other metals and fabrics of that nature.

You can also purchase Mechanical Gears from Provisioner Essence Traders.

If you’re desperate to buy the Mechanical Gears in Nightingale, then the Provisioner Essence Traders also sell the item. You can find a Tin version of Mechanical Gears for sale from the Forest Provisioner for example. It will cost you 3 T1 Essence to purchase it, meaning it is fairly cheap if you’re desperate for a few and don’t mind the trek to the realm and trader.

Now that you have your Mechanical Gears, chances are you want to use them on your Refined Saw Table. Make sure to get Carved Wood for the production building too!

This concludes everything you need to know about getting Mechanical Gears in Nightingale. Good luck with your mid-game crafts as you begin to take on harder recipes and tasks.

Nightingale is a PvE open-world survival crafting game with a few unique features for the genre. First among these is the Realm Card system, whereby players can discover and craft Major or Minor realm cards to influence aspects of procedurally generated worlds or character attributes respectively. You may find yourself in a more forgiving or hostile world depending on the Major cards you use, but the Minor cards can give you an edge against foes with boosts to damage, health, stamina, or other aspects of survival. The game is set in the Victorian era and has more than a little influence from Steampunk fiction, so if that’s anything like your thing, you’ll love this world!
