Where to find Yew Wood in Nightingale

For the most part, Yew Wood is a type of wood that you’ll find by killing the Bruiser Bound enemies in Nightingale. You will first encounter one in the Provisioner Realm Card dungeon in your Abeyance realm. Partway through the mine shaft, you’ll stumble upon one of these patrolling in one of the larger rooms.

The creature has two main attacks: one where it slowly swings its large Yew club around, launching players and companions alike. However, it is easy to dash and dodge using one-handed tools. When the creature goes down low, it will fall over and break its club. It will stay down for a few seconds, before standing up and then attacking you quickly with haste. When the creature dies, it often drops Yew Wood as its loot.

After that, you can find the Bruiser spawn as part of the assault during Provisioner and higher-level worlds. These assaults are part of Fae Tower kill objectives, Occupations, and other defense-type missions. Keep an eye on them for their Yew Wood drops.

Nightingale is a PvE open-world survival crafting game with a few unique features for the genre. First among these is the Realm Card system, whereby players can discover and craft Major or Minor realm cards to influence aspects of procedurally generated worlds or character attributes respectively. You may find yourself in a more forgiving or hostile world depending on the Major cards you use, but the Minor cards can give you an edge against foes with boosts to damage, health, stamina, or other aspects of survival. The game is set in the Victorian era and has more than a little influence from Steampunk fiction, so if that’s anything like your thing, you’ll love this world!
