Stalkers are slightly more evolved form of infected and can be tricky to deal with, as they somtimes cant be spotted with the Listening Mode or they will jump out of walls when you approach them.
Your best course of action with these enemies is to sneak around until you see one and then shoot them in the head with a Shotgun to quickly take it down.
