It’s time to slide, the shiny areas of floor in here are actually pure ice, and stepping onto it will cause your character to slide uncontrollably in the direction they were traveling until they hit something solid. Don’t worry, it’s nothing too taxing.

Head directly forward and you’ll slide to the far box, then slide right to solid ground and carry on right to fight,

The gym is located in the top right of town in a dead end all to itself. When you get there Team Plasma will already be stirring trouble, but you don’t need to cave any faces in, just watch the scene and head inside once it’s over.
