This Assignment can be accepted at any point after you gain access to the Galaxy Map for the first time. This Assignment is hidden on the journal until completion.
How to Begin
This Assignment is handled differently to most of the other Assignments in the game. You’ll never be directed to the freighter and you won’t receive a Journal entry until the Assignment is complete. As such, you’ll need to make your way to the Ming system in the Gemini Sigma star cluster to find the MSV Worthington.
Explore the lost freighter
Once on board the freighter, make your way to the large room where you’ll spot Fusion Containment Cells which, when approached, will trigger remotely dealing damage to you and your squad. As such, keep your distance as you pass through this room and shoot them to destroy them long before you reach them.
Once you reach the back of the freighter, you’ll have a choice of three doors, east, south and north. Begin with the southern door and you’ll find yourself in the Crew Quarters with a Storage Locker (Easy Decryption) and a Crew Computer, revealing details on what went down on the MSV Worthington. Head into the Cockpit (eastern door) to locate the Cockpit Computer with more logs, revealing more of the mystery.
Finally, enter the final door to enter the Medical Bay (northern door) to find where Jacob has been left on life support. Loot the Secure Storage Locker (Average Decryption) and then listen to the message on the Medical Computer to get the complete story on what went down on the Worthington. At this point, Julia will come charging through the door, tossing Biotics your way, quickly counter that with Biotics if you have them available to you and disable her, making her nothing more than a simple target to finish off. This will both activate and complete the Assignemnt in the journal, all that’s left to do is decide what to do with Jacob (this has no bearing on your character in anyway, choose what you feel is best for Jacob).
