As you explore the region of Pilgrim’s Perch, players will naturally find a few gates and doors blocking their paths. For the most part, these doors require the Pilgrim’s Perch Key, which will allow you to enter many of the hidden treasure vaults. In this guide, we aim to help you get Lord of the Fallen’s Pilgrim’s Perch Key, and make you aware of the doors you can open with it.

You can get the Pilgrim’s Perch Key from the captain trader in the hub, but it is very expensive, and you may need to spend some time farming, which we have tips on below.

How to Get the Pilgrim’s Perch Key in Lords of the Fallen¶

To find the Pilgrim’s Perch key in Lords of the Fallen, you need to speak to Stomund, Captain of the Fidelis in the hub. However, it will cost around 9500 Vigor to purchase. This makes the key very expensive for that point in the game.

You will either need to do some farming around the lower ends of the Perch, taking on the spiky metal helmet monsters, or going into the Umbral and farming the casters and moth creatures. Make sure to get your multiplier going into the Umbral for better soul generation and farm around the lower end of the Perch. The reason for it is that there are quite a few of those metal helmet creatures that award quite a large amount of Vigor on defeat, especially on higher multipliers in the Umbral.

The best farming spot is on the lower end of the Perch. Follow the platforming down to the bottom, near where you find the cave that leads to the broken elevator below the Vestige of Blind Agatha. You can do a run from one of the Umbral Seeds slots along the shanty town leading to the cave, then progress through the cave before going back up the elevator and vice versa.

There’s also the hidden floating platform to the right of the seedling in the Umbral. You can farm Umbral mages and the other thin creatures on that platform if you have the time as an optional farming spot. Being this close to a seedling or vestige makes life easier for resting when you’ve spent too much time in the Umbral and need to reset before the monster chases you down.

(1 of 4) You can get yourself a new heavy armor set by opening the Pilgrim’s Perch Key door near the bell chapel area where you encountered the flail boss.

From our experience, there are three locations you can access with the Pilgrim’s Perch Key.

• There’s a room in the tunnel after you defeat the Scourged Sister Delyth mini-boss with the flail
• Another is in the cave directly below the Vestige of Blind Agatha, aka the bellroom.
• The other is next to the bellroom vestige

The first one brings you to a chest, which grants you the Sacred Resonance set. This is a heavy armor set, granting a lot of resistance, and it doesn’t push you over into high Encumbrance either. It’s likely worth it for all builds early on.

The door that opens in the bellroom cave, near the boss of the area opens a prisoner platform. Inside its guarded by two crossbowmen, another one of those knights with the radiance empowerment, two of the radiance bell pole spellcasters, and a Dark Crusader type class. Be warned these enemies have significantly more damage and HP than their counterparts. However, it’s worth killing them, or kiting them behind the jail cell in the room you rescue the blacksmith. You will find an Amulet, increasing physical damage and defense there called the Warrior’s Claw, which is very good for a lot of builds in the game, and is very much worth doing it for.

As you can see, its worth farming for, simply for a great early game defensive set, along with an Umbral Eye and Necklace. No doubt most builds will want these items to empower and make progressing through the next biome of the game much easier on themselves.
